About
The Country Club of Mount Dora is a semi-private club located 35 miles northwest of downtown Orlando in the hills of Lake County. The course was built by Clifton, Ezell & Clifton design and opened in 1991 and features water on 16 of 18 holes, as well as raised greens and bunkers. The course is set on mature landscape and affords views of the nearby horse farms and lakes. The par-72 course features bermuda grass tees and greens, plus three tee boxes to choose from. The country club is also home to a clubhouse, swimming pool and four tennis courts onsite.

Great track with challenging holes. One of my go to courses. Easily accessible of the 429. Worth the ride.

Fun and challenging layout
This course is a great value. The layout is challenging and the course in much better condition than most.
Will be playing here more often. The starter “Al” is a great guy and keeps things moving.

Lots of water
Water comes into play on several holes so bring a few balls. Fairway were a little short of grass and the greens were fine. Friendly pro shop staff member

Ok for the money
Liked the layout. Many areas need improvement. Did not like sharing a cart with someone I didn’t know even know though carts were available.

Great layout with lots of variety. Challenging without being too difficult. Course was in great shape. Always enjoy playing here. Can’t wait to play again.

Best in the area for the price
The course is in great shape. The staff was friendly and they actually had a true starter and a course ranger. Greens were fast and consistent. As a first time player I I lost 5 balls because I didn’t know the layout. I will play again.

Good day out
Well designed, greens good speed. fairways a bit bare. Various patches of earth on fairways. Couple of greens were in need of repair.

Good course in above average shape
First time playing the course - has a nice layout and most of greens were in very good shape along with most of the tee boxes. Great value for a nice course considering the price of most on the Orlando area.

Nice layout but play was very slow
Course layout is fun to play. The course was in good shape. The staff was friendly and helpful. My only complaint was the slow play. The round took 5 hours.

Bumpy greens
This is a fun layout. Lots of hidden fairways and water. The fairways and Tee boxes were good, but the green’s definitely need some attention. Patches of dirt and bumpy from a foreign grass or fungus. It wasn’t the worst I have seen, but it absolutely affected putts.

Played with 3 snowbirds from Ontario.
Played 87 and finished last. They could play.
Besides the pace of play it was very enjoyable. Greens and fairways were very nice. Tee boxes need work. Alot of target shots have to be made.
All in all pretty nice course for the right deal.

Tight and Tough
Course was great tea to green. The greens were really fast and slick. Plenty of false fronts and protected pins create many forced carries.
Half of the holes are very tight and the slightly errant shot gets swallowed up by steep embankments to water or deep brush. I enjoy the challenge however. The staff are very pleasant and helpful. Jose and Arnold are very accommodating.

nice Sunday morning
conditions were good. I was paired up with another single and we played behind a 3-some that we were pushing so after 9 they let us play thru and flew around the back nine. Played in 3:15. and enjoyed my playing partner.

Fantastic Greens
Overall maybe the best value in the area as most courses are baked right now up this way. It’s target golf for sure and the greens are almost perfect. Would easily play here again. Far more courses over $100 that are awful compared to this. Well done.
