I have played this course occasionally for the last 20 years I walked off after 7 holes because I found the course to be unplayable I usually lose a ball or 2 for the entire round however I lost 3 balls on one hole and I never hit it out of the fairway I don't think they had mowed the fairways in a week or two and the rough looked like it had not been mowed in weeks

The rough was so long prepare to lose all your balls. The bunkers are also just grass with zero maintenance. People with toddlers on carts letting them hit balls while everyone is waiting behind. No rangers, no cart girls, no maintenance. And $60 per person is crazy for this terrible course. Has to be the worst course I played in my life. Close this place down or take care of it. Never again!

Extremely Disappointing Experience

Eagle Dunes Golf Course in Sorrento was an absolute waste of money and time. The course conditions were horrible. The rough wasn’t cut, and if you hit even slightly outside the fairway, you can expect to spend your time searching for a ball or simply losing it.

The bunkers were in terrible condition and appeared to be completely neglected, with grass waste throughout them. For the money they charge, the lack of basic course maintenance is unacceptable.

I would not recommend Eagle Dunes to anyone looking for a quality golf experience. Save your money and play somewhere that actually takes care of the course.

The course has come full circle 👏 albeit the traps are atrocious

The course was in decent condition except for the bunkers, but you can always choose your own lies. Got through in two hours and a half. Will definitely be back.

variety of different layouts for holes. greens in good shape, fairways and rough average. bunkers are not being maintained, apparently letting them go natural.

It has improved greatly. The fairways are coming in, the greens are 95% and rolling smooth 👏

My playing partner and I have played 45 rounds over 5 years at Eagle Dunes, and spent over $4,000 there in greens fees.

Over the years the course has seen good conditions and bad, but this round revealed severe neglect in some areas. The fairways were sprinkled with foot-tall weed sprouts, and the bunker maintenance has been completely ignored. Most bunkers were weed-filled disasters.

I will say that the greens continue to be in fine condition, but the rest of the course gives me the impression that they are trying to save money by cutting corners. This will drive away the remaining golfers that are loyal to this course.

The course is in really good shape. Tee boxes were in great condition. All but one of the greens were really nice. The one that wasn’t had its issue isolated to the outer edge of one side. Fairways were covered in lush grass for the first time that I can remember. Sand traps were terrible with most of them unkept. Rough was very long. All in all, this is the best shape I’ve seen Eagle Dunes in for a very long time.

I havee played Eagle Dunes 100+ times and it was always my favorite course, made many friends there.

I unfortunately avoided it for several years due to the decline of courses and those nearby, and occasionally revisit because of nostalgic reasons.

Poor course conditions for me, ruin the experience for me and I regret it every time I play here. I understand there is a place and even a big demand for average golfers who want low price points and I think this course serves this purpose well.

I wish thins course well and look forward to the time they turn it around, other courses have done it so maybe they will here as well.

Eagle Dunes has a few challenging holes. the overall layout is pretty good. There were a few issues with bad areas on the greens that should be addressed. I don't remember seeing any sand traps (although I may have missed them). Plenty of waste areas to deal with, but it appeared that some were former sand traps that had been neglected. With a little attention, it has the potential of being a really nice course.

I always find the staff here very accommodating and flexible. The course is a challenge out of the gate. Bring Bring your A game especially if the wind is blowing. I always enjoy myself. The staff makes it enjoyable with their outstanding Customer Service. Big shout out to Mark. You are always smiling and making all us hacks feel welcome.

Not in great shape yet but getting better and good compared to similarly priced courses in the area. Nice layout but don’t come out for off-course amenities which are very basic. Friendly staff and decent pace of play.

The course needs a lot of work. The range looked like it hadn’t been mowed in months. The course was the same, fairways, tees and greens were more weeds than grass and rough was knee high and not for the challenge, but because it hadn’t seen a mower in forever.

Course is in crappy condition. Some parts of it are ok but some are not so good. Definitely needs some love.

Course is in better shape every time I play it. It's a tough but fair course. Recommend staying in the fairways as much as possible. The natural erosion of this course on the edges can wreak havoc on wayward drives and the tall grasses on the outskirts are not forgiving.
