Eagle Dunes Golf Club
About
Eagle Dunes Golf Club in Sorrento sprawls across rolling elevation changes that aren't typically found on central Florida courses. The course also claims to have the area's truest putting surfaces. The layout stretches to just over 7,024 yards from the back tees. Long hitters will be pleased about the opportunity to grip it and rip it but ball placement is an important factor. The golf course is punishing even if you're only slightly errant. The vast sand traps seem like you're playing across a desert and the occasional water hazard comes into play as well. The wide, player-friendly fairways help to balance the challenges of the golf course. Since opening in 2003, Eagle Dunes Golf Club has garnered a strong following amongst locals and has earned the distinction of being one of Gold Digest's "Best Places to Play."

Fun Course
I’ve played this course a half dozen times and have always enjoyed it. It is not in pristine shape and the fees reflect that reality. I like the elevation changes and the course layout. No two holes are like the other. The tee boxes could use some help and there are a few bare spots on the fairways, but the greens are in good shape. Importantly the pace of play on Saturdays has been good with rounds taking 4 hours.
Mow. Your. Greens.
I check in on this course every so often. Hadn’t been out here in a couple of years. This is a great layout. It would be a really fun course if there was any grass on it and if they mowed their greens. With some TLC this could be a really special place. For now, I’ll check back in another couple years. On the bright side, the staff is fantastic. Super nice people all the way around.
Slow play but l enjoyed it
Challenging course. I am 76 shot from the red tees 94
Nice Track, Great Staff, Good Value
Revisited Eagle Dunes for 1st time in several years, played as 2some in about 3 hours due to member 4some letting us play through early in the round, quite nice of them as they were playing a at a good's pace. The entire staff was great, would revisit just based on customer service.
The greens were green and in good shape however they were very SLOW so it took a few holes to build up enough confidence to hit it with enough pace to not leave it short. The tee boxes, fairways and traps need some work, but not enough that I won’t return.
The course was in terrible condition. Have played this course many times and they have definitely let the conditions decline. Left the course after 10th hole
All day event. I mean all day
Unfortunately the pace of play was so slow. It took 6hrs to finish. I walk 18 in 3hrs usually. Walking!!! These yokos didnt let anyone play around them. There isn’t a ranger, so everyone behind that group suffered
Poor Conditions
No grass on tees or fairways bunkers not well taken care of greens bumpy
Love this course
It’s one of my favorite courses to take my buddies out to challenging but not to challenging
Mediocre But Not Bad
The greens were in good shape although the speeds were inconsistent. The fairways were average with some bare spots here and there but mostly okay. The course wasn’t as bad as it had been earlier in the year. They seem to be on the comeback.
Greens, Fairways and Tee Boxes in Good Condition
This was the third time I’ve played this course this year. I like the layout and the changes in elevation. The greens are in great shape as are the fairways and tee boxes. I wish they would mow the rough a little lower to help pace of play since an errant tee shot might be hard to find since you practically have to stand over the ball to find it in the five inch rough. Also the sand traps are not maintained at all so they are very punitive. Otherwise this is a very fun course that I look forward to playing again. Btw this is not a course for a beginner. If you are a beginner you should try the Wonter Park 9-hole course.
Retired Vet
Eagle Dyne was very well kept the greens were just right the fairways were groomed nicely, I have always liked this course!
Greens in great shape
Unlike the majority of courses in the area, Eagle Dunes have done a really good job with their fairways and greens. The roughs are a bit sketchy, but they have taken care of the earlier equipment problems and are rapidly getting back in shape. The staff is really friendly and make you feel welcome. Great day.
Great layout
The greens were in great shape and rolled beautifully. Definitely a great course for the money. The third cut is a little thick, but with fairways this wide, just hit it straighter and you’ll be fine 😂
