Really enjoyed the course. Definitely worth the drive to get to it. Nicely laid out course, and greens rolled true. Staff was super friendly. Even saw some gators.

I played there quite a few times and every time I play there I love it just a little bit more!

I had a first class experience from the first time I walked in the door till the time we left!

As always, the course was in great condition the staff were remarkable!

Definitely one of the best Golf experiences around the Orlando area. I don’t think you can go wrong by playing here! And if you do, you’ll probably go back and play again.

Allow some extra time to get here...once you arrive you will not be disappointed. Only way in is through quite a few residential areas that slows driving speed down. Course is a treat to play. Layout was tough, but fair. Get your "straight" clubs out. Greens were a little slower than what I am used to, but were in good shape and rolled pretty well. Very positive overall impression. If you get the opportunity, I suggest you play here. I drove 45 miles to play here and I'm glad I did!

Deer Island never fails to impress with its beautiful scenic views across the lake, plenty of wildlife and a golf course that has true greens adn tee boxes to suit every type of game. we played on a still calm day but wind can be a real factor to consider on this course.

Course is in acceptable condition — not great, but not bad. The staff was friendly and welcoming.

The course is challenging due to the amount of water, and most golfers won’t or shouldn’t be hitting driver on many of the holes, which takes away from the enjoyment of the round.

On a separate note, the on-site Smashburger was probably the worst I’ve ever had, which was disappointing.

Beautiful course and views! Watch out for the alligators & water. Worth every dollar.

Really enjoyed this course, absolutely beautiful and lots of nature. There is literally water on every hole, so be prepared for that- a few shots that I thought were safe turned out to roll into water over a hill etc

This course is an excellent layout and is in excellent condition. One green was being worked on and was well on its way to being on par with the others. There is water on virtually every hole, with some great views of Lake Dora. I had such a great time that after the round, I went in and payed for a replay and played another 18. If you are in the Tavares area it is worth a visit.

Played this course numerous time and it gets better each time. The signature par 3 is now open but watch for the biggest gator you will see outside of gatorland sunning nearby!

Tees , greens and fairways all excellent. Not a negative thing to say. support this golf club and go and play there,

Great layout, good condition. A few of the greens were a little rough but seems like they were working on them. Only critique are the bunkers. Lots of sand in them, on the back there were a bunch of bunkers that were good with totally different sand so maybe they are in process of changing them. Over all full course to play.

I live in Kissimmee and came across this course a while back—it’s about an hour away, but I finally decided to give it a shot, and I’m sure glad I did. I’ve now played here four weekends in a row.

The staff is terrific, the layout rivals most high-end courses in Central Florida, and the conditions are consistently strong. They recently opened the signature par 3, and let me tell you—it’ll test even a scratch golfer.

Definitely recommend giving this place a try, no matter the commute. The pictures don’t do it justice.

This course never disappoints. Hidden gem. Fairways great. Greats are great. Hole 13 looks great
