Deer Island Country Club

Course is in great condition. Greens are pretty slow but that’s it. Challenging layout. Favorite course I’ve played lately.

Course is STILL a hidden gem. Greens a little slow, but if thats the only criticism, it means there isnt much wrong.

One of our go to courses. Not for the faint of heart. Water in play on all 18 holes. Plays tough in the wind.

Greens are really slow. A lot of the fairways were pretty wet. The starter said they got a lot rain recently. But we’re in Florida not Arizona so I don’t get how that affects them more than other courses? There’s basically no rough. The grass is just cut fairway height all around this course is cheaper to play than most courses in the area, but it’s also in the worst condition of any course in the area. So you’re getting what you pay for.

Conditions were pretty good. Fairways were thin in a number of places and most greens were in good shape. The tees could use some attention.

Haven’t played this course in over two months. I have played it many many times. The course is in excellent condition, considering the drought conditions in Central Florida. Greens were a tad bit slow, but that’s OK. It’s understandable with the weather conditions fairways tee boxes were absolutely perfect. Sand traps are in great shape. This course has been hydrated. Well as it sits between two lakes more than I can say for many other courses in Central Florida.. I will be back again next week.

Nice track. The course condition has been better but we still enjoyed our round. The greens were pretty good condition and rolled well, probably about 9 to 10.

Fun course to play, lots of hidden shots. Course conditions a little dry, but the entire area is in drought warning

This was my first time playing Deer Island, and let me just say you won’t be disappointed the wildlife is a bonus the course is in very good condition when we start getting some rain Deer island will go from a 5 star to a 5 plus, plus star course I can’t say enough the staff, the starter who gave a us detailed run down of how to play certain holes and he was spot on, it was well worth the 1:45 min drive from New Port Richey Fl I’ll be back along with my friends . I could go on and on, finally the price was half of what we normally pay for a less quality course. Two thumbs up

I left my rangefinder in the cart and they helped me find it / I can not ask for anymore that that They are great there and the course is always in great shape

Great course. Unique with lots of water and Florida critters .

Yes, there is a lot of water and very large lizards! But, it is a super nice course and the staff is exceptionally!
