Halifax Plantation

This place is just ok. Greens in nice shape, but fairways soft and lots of mud on the ball, and it has been dry. Can't imagine how it would be after a rain. Very slow pace of play, no ranger seen during our round. We will NOT play this place again. Over priced at 60 bucks.

This course awesome greens. The fairways were great!

Booked for $59, was told at check in it was $69 instead.

They decided to let a group of members shotgun start ahead of us, even though we had the first time at 7:40, backing up pace of play and getting 2-3 groups deep on every hole leading to a not so good experience.

The mosquitos are insanely bad, so bad the staff laughed about it at the end of the round.

Tee boxes and fairways are somewhat better than they were. Greens are good, but insanely wet even though the area hasn’t gotten rain in over 2 weeks. So wet we left foot imprints walking.

Great course and value (relative to the overwhelming draconian price increases that all golf courses have done in recent years) . Greens are fast and slick but the pin placements were unfairly positioned. The game is hard enough give us a break please.

Greens were very good, fast, fairways in great shape.

They have a nice course. The greens are a challenge. They have a really nice pub with good food.

Staff and course were excellent as much as possible with all of the rain and wind we have had lately - greens were perfect and lightning fast.

Course was indecent condition. Greens were great. Tee boxes for all skill levels.

Greens were pretty good shape as were the fairways. The rough is pretty overgrown and easy to spend time looking in deep weeds for balls not on fairways. Pace of play was good, price is good, staff is friendly. Definitely a good course to play for friends and family!

Played the course a year ago. I was surprised at how much the fairways have improved. Their greens are great. They need to get the tiny bits of crab grass poking through under control though to keep them that way, but still some of the best greens in the county. This is a very challenging course.

I do have a couple of complaints thought. 1) They had it as cart path only, yet the course was bone dry. No reason to have it as CPO, and I would definitely call ahead to make sure it is not CPO before playing again. 2) The range balls are expensive (but so are many places these days). 3) We decided to play Blue markers. Back markers were supposed to be Black. Black is listed as 7000+ and blue as 6500. However, there were NO black markers on the course, and I would say about 15/18 holes had the Blue markers where the Black would normally be, so you end up playing a 240 yards par 3 (7th) and a 480 yard par 4 (14th)

The course is in great shape. Fairways and tees were really good and the greens were in great shape. Definitely recommend playing this course for the value. Staff are great upon arrival at course.

This was the third time I’ve played this course and have never been disappointed. The fairways are lush and the greens are close to perfect. I can’t wait to play it again!
