About
This 18 hole championship course opened in 1992 and was designed by Bill Amick. The shady fairways are bordered by huge sprawling oaks and towering pines, nestled in the shadows of Bulow and Tomoka State Parks in Ormond Beach. The course features five elevated tee boxes and fast, contoured, highly manicured greens adequately protected by traps. A unique experience for the golfer who enjoys not only a challenge but also extraordinary scenery.

New Champion Greens are Wonderful

Needs watering
Played a few weeks ago and the course was on OK shape. This time the greens were good the rest of the course is shameful ??

NICE TRACK
I’m staying in the area this month RVing. Found this course close by and have played three times so far. I always get an early morning start and the staff is very accommodating with that. Excellent pace of play early morning, not sure what they are later in the day. The greens are new and smooth. Good sand in the bunkers. Fairways are a little bare on the edges so hit them straight. Overall fairly challenging track and enjoyable.

First time back in 6 years
We haven’t played this course in about 6 years it previously was surrounded by a lot of residential development but that has all been completed and filled in
Greens were fast smooth and tons of contour
Fairways were wide well maintained with a few soft areas from all the rain over the past few weeks
The guys at bag drop were excellent friendly and funny a positive first impression
Course was relatively quiet so 3 1/2 hour round

Not a bad course for the price, Tee boxes needed some wok, none or very little grass on them. Greens were very challenging, fairways were good and if you got off line it was not to difficult to get back into play

Nice round of golf at Halifax Plantation
The greens was not that fast but an acceptable speed. The tee offs will have to be improved.

they redid the greens twice this year- the grass hasn't taken hold yet. Putts wobbled back and forth as they rolled towards the hole. the area right around each cup was crowned putts would get right to the hole then break away left or right. greens needed to be rolled!
for all the money they put into the green they didnt put any into the tee boxes, play the back tees it was almost impossible to find a flat grassy area.

Much improved!
After not playing this course for several months w decided to give it a try. What we discovered was that the improvements they are making are beginning to pay off. Only three of the greens dd we notice any significant areas that need repair. We are very happy that the grounds keeper's hard work is showing dividends!
