About
This 18 hole championship course opened in 1992 and was designed by Bill Amick. The shady fairways are bordered by huge sprawling oaks and towering pines, nestled in the shadows of Bulow and Tomoka State Parks in Ormond Beach. The course features five elevated tee boxes and fast, contoured, highly manicured greens adequately protected by traps. A unique experience for the golfer who enjoys not only a challenge but also extraordinary scenery.

Nice course, greens need some work
With the exception of the greens the course has a good layout, The ground was wet and picked up a lot of dirt on the ball. The greens need some work as there some greens with patches of dirt/sand. For the price I paid I would play it again.
Poor condition
I was greeted with “we don’t allow carts in the parking lot “ so I had to walk all the way to get my clubs, no signs I saw about club drop off area while driving in....
The course was in terrible shape, worst course I’ve played in the area. The greens on the front had large bare spots and were extremely rough, fairways were like a dirt field with sparse grass.
I did like the layout, overall pace of play was ok, we played through one group, but got held up gain later.

Course has improved! Still some patchy spots on a few greens. Fairways a little thin but that is normal for this time of year. We will be back!!

Winter conditions
Front 9 greens under repair with dead spots. Most of the fairways are dormant. But we still had a good time. A little pricey for the conditions.

Challenging course
Many tee box options. Excellent traps (sand is perfect and was well groomed). A few greens that had some blighted areas, but they are working on them. Greens are true, but are subtly difficult.
Bottom line you will enjoy your round.

Ok not great
Greens were bare in many spots. If you want to rain separate they charge $ 20 per cartt,a bit high since we have not paid more then 15 usual 10 or Zero.

Fun day
Course in good winter condition. Greens show some wear but putt true. Played in foursome in a little over 4 hours with no hold ups Dinner afterwards in clubhouse was wonderful. We will be back

Spacious fairways
Nice, wide fairways with strategically placed bunkers. There were some distressed areas on a couple of green, but size of the greens and the undulations were very nice.
I have added this course as a favorable choice when I visit the area again.

Greens
Greens are in need of work and people behind us Group of 4 ladies complaining about us being slow when there was 2 groups in front of us that we had to wait on.. very inconsiderate of them.

WHAT HAPPENED?
Played a year and a half ago and this course was in great shape. Greens are trash now with bare spots and random repairs. Fairways could use water. They are bare and patchy and in bad shape. Even the range isn’t managed well.
I used a hot deal from Golf Now and that was too much to pay for the condition it was in.
Service was A-Plus but that can’t make up for the poor conditions.
PS: No cart girl either, make sure you bring your own.

Needs work
Greens are bumbby and slow. Fairways bare. Have no idea what course looked in the past but it needs alot of work. Nice lay though. Did not give a rating for clubhouse/restaurant because I did not stay.

needs some work
There are a number of greens that are in poor shape. Get those taken care off and the course goes back to a 4 star rating. The layout of the course is very good.
