Pleased
I have played this course several times in past years and conditions were just ok but this time it was in great condition. A difficult course for sure.
Trying Hard
It's obvious the new ownership team is trying hard to improve the course. Almost every tee box has been re-sodded. That's great but it doesn't address the fairways and greens. Maybe slowest greens I putted on all year. With cooler weather, it's OK to cut them a bit lower guys! Cart paths are a disaster - I suggest tearing them all up and just use grass paths like they have in many areas. Played on a Wednesday afternoon and pace was fantastic - 3 hour round. While price was good, conditions still lacking. Kudos for investment in sod but fairways need work and greens and surrounds are rough.
Cypress Creek Sun City Center
Must unfriendly staff I may have ever run into. Rude from the head pro to his staff and even the cart barn employee. Doesn't the operations friendliness start at the top - hmmm.
Very good course
Some wet spots due to recent stain but overall did very nice job of clearing the debree n course was in good condition
Difficult course worth the money
Current ownership putting money into the course, new grass on tee boxes and on driving range.. Course overall in good shape. Very challenging. ,
Still sticky
... but after the storms and all of the rain we've been having it's no wonder. Ball washers would be great. A lot of improvements are taking place... all good. When it finally dries out it should be excellent!
Paradise for lovers of water and sand!
A very beautiful, albeit a rather challenging course for duffers like I am!
Much renovation going on, especially on the back 9. Nevertheless, playable and very scenic
Will return with Golf Now coupons.
New Owners are Terrible
This used to be a nice course where the people were friendly and it was good to be a local golfer there. Now, this new ownership has removed all of the feeling of community and have shown that they have no interest in restoring it. They have shown themselves to be nothing other than money driven and zero respect for anything other than that. It's too bad. This used to be a great place to play golf.
Pace of Play
Pace of play is my only negative. You have a starter, but no one to enforce pace of play. It took 3 hours to get through 9 holes. The greens are nice and they a making a strong effort to improve fairways and tee boxes throughout the course. The staff is great and very friendly.
Post Hurricane
Considering the rain and winds from Hurricane Ian the course was in remarkable shape. Hole 14 was closed but the rest of the course was playable. Holes 7 and 15 are still very challenging. We knew the course would be wet and muddy but we had to get out and play.
Attached is a picture of hole 14. The lake in front of the green is not supposed to be there.
Post Hurricane Ian
Only front 9 open, lots of branched, leaves all over fairway and green. Mud pool with soggy ground were also everywhere. Most bunker filled with water. Some cart pathway were flood. We did not be inform of the course conditions prior checking in. Did not finish the round due to the poor course conditions because of the post Hurricane Ian. Wish they would straight out the course before reopen to public. Hope to get the refund…
"Ground Under Repair"
The course currently undergoing a major facelift. Quite a few temporary tee boxes. The course is still wet in some areas. The greens were okay.
If the weather allows, the course should be in great shape by December.
Great layout & views
First time playing , I will be back. One of the best kept courses around, they are doing a lot of work on the course redoing some tee boxes but not problematic. If you have not played here it's a must.
A good course is becoming a great course!
The work being done is making this course even better. I praise the course staff for all the work. It is amazing that with all the work, the course is still in pretty good condition.
when its that saturated, just close the course. balls plugging , can.t find them. carts r tearing up the course. they.re renovating, & damaging it at the same time. not enjoyable at all!
