The Golf Club of Cypress Creek

Beautiful day for golf. Cypress Creek has had several nice improvements to greens, tee areas and driving range! I try to play there each week.

We played this course often last winter and they started new management at that time and the pace of play was often very slow. 10 months later and the pace of play was still awful. Two players that we were teamed up quit after 9 holes. We caught up with a single on hole 10 since 3 players that he was playing with quit after 9. Maybe they should have tee times every 10 minutes instead of 7 minutes and see if that helps.

When we arrived at the starter for our 10h52 tee times, there was about 45 minutes delay. They book tee times every 7 minutes so the course was over booked. We finally played the front nine as a foursome and we were waiting around 10 minutes on every hole to play. After 3 hours to play the front we left. Sometimes we were 3 foursomes in the same times at the tees. First time there and last one! The course probably used to be a good challenge but when we played the conditions were not excellent. Sand in the traps is not sand, greens were very slow, course looks to have difficulty to drain.

Given that we have not had much rain recently, the course was still wet in many areas. Two of the Par 5's are cart-path only. Course needs some work.

Just love this course for casual play, you want it more difficult, just tee it up back and good luck !

Especially with soggy fairways. Maybe put them on the even-numbered holes? I do understand the rain events we've been having, but those would be great.

The course was in amazing shape considering two days earlier we had 5+ inches of rain from Hurricane Nicole. Only 4 holes were cart path only. My friends and I had cabin fever and had to hold somewhere. We choose wisely. Holes 2, 6 and 15 are away a challenge. Afterwards, we had a steak and cheese (special) in the bar area. It was very good. The bartender/waitress was very attentive and attractive. We are definitely playing here again.

First time playing the course. Enjoyed the challenges of the many small hills. Either from staying away from them to hitting in/on them.

They are working to improve the course and only time will tell if this will payoff. It is a good course, very slow play, but has a good layout and challenging holes.
