Best conditions in Vegas
During our week in Las Vegas, our threesome played Boulder City, Siena, Silverstone and Eagle Crest. By far, Eagle Crest had the best fairways and greens, although the greens were slow. It also had the best price through GolfNow. Even though Eagle Crest is an executive-style course (just a half-dozen par 4s mixed in with some nice par 3s) it is the one we would have re-played if we had time. Other courses had serious fairway problems. I would rate Boulder City next best. Siena charged us $20 for a handicapped rider (can't grip a club much less swing one) unlike any of the other courses, which happily accommodated her, and we were offended.
Awesome 18
The course is well maintained. You don't feel rushed while playing. Love playing at eagle crest!
Great Executive course
We usually play an executive course back home, so it was nice to play one in Vegas, particularly where we could pull out the big stick on quite a few holes. This course was in great shape the afternoon we played, with carts included it was a quick, (very) cheap round, and there is enough variation to the holes to keep it interesting. We also played Durango Hills on this trip (another executive course), and Eagle Crest was much, much better.
nice course!
nice little 18 hole course.Usually pay $5.00 through Golf Now which is a great deal.Play there all the time.
Great value!
I played with my 5 year old son. We played best ball on the par 4/5's and from the front on all the tees and had a great time. Even with my son playing, we got through in 3 hours. The course was in great shape for the middle of the summer and the staff was really friendly. The cold water bottles on the cart and the cooler filled with ice were nice touches. I'll definitely go back the next time I'm in Vegas.
EAGLE CREST PAR 60
It is a fun course to play and the price is right. Only 6 par 4's and the rest are par 3's. However, it is still interesting and it doesn't require 4 or 5 hours to finish. (This particular day the greens were punched and impossible to roll the putts.)
More than just your average "Executive Course"., this course has some teeth in it that can bite you if you don't play smart!
This course is much more than your average "Executive Course". Par 4's can be challanging and the longer par 3's require good tee shots if your going to hit the greens.
You must keep your head in the game or this course will quickly get the best of you.
Great views of the valley below can easily be distracting but well worth it.
great for playing your short game
great lay-out of the course that made it very challenging.
Great Short Course
played 18 with my 14 year old who was playing for the first time. Length was enough to test him but not to overwhelm him. Fairways were in excellent conditin. Greens good but bare in some spots with some ground under repair on three greens. It was a fun round
Nice Executive course with good Golfnow rate.
Nice Executive course with good Golfnow rate. Was not crowded and played in less than 3 hours. Course was in good condition.
Rained out after 6 holes
Rained out after 6 holes. Not a great experience. :(
How can you go wrong? (great stuff here)
I use Golf Now from time to time.... and, thought i'd give this place a try (when up popped) a killer rate for afternoon play. The place is somewhat far from where i live, but... i like to play new courses and spread my wings.
From the moment i arrived, i felt like part of the family. The staff members (most pretty young) were very nice & professional. I felt welcomed & rec'd instructions / playing conditions "the first tee is over there", etc, etc, etc. In minutes my buddy and i were playing.
The condition of the tee boxes / fairways / greens are REALLY GOOD here!!! For an executive course, you're biggest challenge may be the greens -- they've got their share of twists and turns, along with speed!
I will be going back!!!!
Good holes
This course is very nice and relaxing. The holes aren't too hard but not easy either. This is a great place for a family to go golf and you cannot beat the prices.
fun to play executive course
had a good time playing this course. the carts had 2 complimentary water bottles in them due to high heat, which was nice, and extra water bottles where only 1 dollar. They wernt trying to get rich on the food and drink like other courses.
great course, challenging course for a par 60 well worth the round
the younger gentleman at the pro-shop was very considerate and made the process easy and makes me like the course that much more i will play again....thanks again e.d.
Some of the friendliest staf on any course I've played.
Didn't see any water stations on the course but brought some out to us at least once on front 9 and again on back 9.
It may be a bit short for you long ball hitters but it works fine for me. I enjoy the course.
Enjoyed the loop
If you don't have time for a full size course, try this one. Even if you have time try this one.
Very nice executive course. Beautiful views of downtown and the mountains.
Staff was very nice. The course was fairly empty, so we were able to play earlier than our scheduled tee time. The practice area was nice and had a chipping area, also. I don't usually play executive courses, but my wife is a high handicapper and does not need a full-length course. I was pleasantly surprised. There are two or three 400 yard par fours and some longer par threes that were challenging. Course was well-maintained and was a pleasure to play. The shorter par threes provided an opportunity to work on the short game. Good greens..moderate speed.
Great Experience but small course
We loved everything about the course, staff, quality, everything except we didn't check the par of the course before we booked our tee time.
The par is 60, with 3 par 4's on each 9. The rest or par 3's. No par 5's. Kind of feels like a par 3 course. If you play from the whites, this course is extremely short. We had to play from the back tees to make it more fun. Got tired of hitting sand wedge off the tee box.
This course has some great views of the City, and has enough hazards to make it challenging, but not frustrating
I've played this course five times and love it! It is my favorite executive course in town. Being a novice, the course is challenging, but not daunting, and the staff is great. I love that they offer Groupons and tee times are available on GolfNow for a great price!
