Rhodes Ranch Country Club
About
Hidden in the folds of the Southern Nevada desert is the lush oasis of Rhodes Ranch Golf Club. The abundance and variety of water features characterize the golf course. Ponds and lakes come into play frequently. There are also mature palms lining the gently rolling fairways and generous greens. The club is known for the immaculate maintenance of the verdant tropical landscape. The course is player-friendly while at the same time offering Las Vegas golfers some unexpected challenges. The layout boasts a set of four impressive par 3s including the scenic third hole, which requires a tee shot over a pond. The designer, Ted Robinson, touted the holes as the best he's ever designed. Rolling mounds and strategic bunkering as well as the occasional multi-tiered green make the golf course more difficult, but there are wide fairways and ample landing areas to provide a balance. The playability of the course combined with the reasonable rates, especially for Las Vegas golf, has earned the club a popular following.

#16 Par 3 ... large great but must hit the distance. Photo submitted by Wally4 on 02/01/2013
The go-to home course.
Condition of the grass is everything to my golf group and Rhodes is always fantastic. I’ve played this course a dozen times and am still waiting to be disappointed. My only complaint is the same complaint I have with almost all desert courses, water stations with ice machines at every 3 holes would be ideal. That really just makes the golf experience feel that much more enjoyable. Bougie I know, but it’s what I would like.
Excellent
One of my favorite courses to play in Las Vegas. Staff always friendly and accommodating and the course is always in great shape. Very lucky to always get paired with good people.
A good partner makes the best partner!
Golf now
Was very disappointed that we had one no show out of 8 players and the course had many twosomes and threesomes in front of and behind us so theh would not have filked that last spot but yet they told golf now to charge the $125 no show while the staff didn't let me at the course
Our policies are posted on Golfnow and our website.
We appreciate the 5 stars, but the words help us improve. Thank you for the stars.
Solid course
Nothing bad to say about this course. It was in great shape, nice greens , lush fairways. The checkin and starter all good and helpful. Friendly enough. The course is basically a straight away course with most holes just straight.
I enjoyed it. I did like that the marshals kept pace of play moving. We were furnished in about 4rs 10 mins.
The Truth will set you free. Thank you for the kind words and honestly, when we have advanced players ask how they should approach this course, we often tell them to aim for the 150 yard marker and don't complicate it by trying to cut the non existent dog legs.
Great course to play
This is a wonderful golf course. The layout and condition of the course are outstanding. The practice area is great. The restaurant is good. Well worth the money.
We will get that 5th star next time!
Consistently in great shape
Serving time playing this course within the past 2 months. Course was is great shape. Would love to see 10 minute gaps between tee times instead of 8 minutes but outside of that, it’s a near perfect experience at this course.
We agree with you 100% and will continue to work towards that goal.
Pro Shop Staff THE WORST of any Las Vegas Courses!
This isn’t the first poor review, but one of several previously reported this year. The staff in the pro shop continues to be non-customer oriented, rude and disrespectful. Upon check in the male attendant wouldn’t process me and my wife in until I produced an email confirmation on my iPhone, which happened to be in the car in the parking lot. This was in disregard to the Golf Now reservation being displayed in their system computer, and all it would have taken was for me to show my ID at the Resident rate. Matter of fact the twosome we played with also related having similar problems checking in, but with a Female staff attendant who was additionally abrasive in nature rendering poor customer service. Besides the Pro Shop dilemma, this course continues to overbook resulting in excruciating slow play, 5 hours! Upon approaching hole #7 we encountered 3 groups on the Par 3 ahead of us making 4 groups on the hole. We immediately called the Pro Shop and requested a ranger to speed up play. The ranger arrived in about 6 minutes and he observed 4 groups still on the hole. Amazingly the ranger said “we’ll, there’s nothing I can do about the situation”, and proceeded back to the staging area with no assistance whatsoever. This was after a lengthy conversation about the slow play and the log jam ahead! My opinion as well as our playing partners was, “why did he come out in the first place if he wasn’t going to assist in speeding up play”? RESULTS: A 5 HOUR ROUND OF GOLF, totally unacceptable. The do nothing want nothing attitude just follows suit parallel with the Pro Shop customer service. I guess once you pay to play they just don’t give a hoot, so future players beware!
We usually say nice things and comment how we are working towards a better pace of play. We don't like to point out that your email clearly states on it to bring the confirmation with you to pro shop at check in. We won't state that 99 percent of people have their email on their phone and don't need to walk back to their car to retrieve it. We will say that if our ranger went out to the course and stated there is nothing he can do, then he probably won't be a ranger very much longer. Now as far as your pre-paid discounted rate goes, we are glad that you were able to book the cheapest possible rate during the busiest possible time at any course. We will also state that most courses that are worth playing are busy, and five hours is not a goal but a reality that we can't quite avoid. Our new carts that arrive in November will come equipped with GPS tracking and Geo fencing. We are also working with our ownership to reduce our tee time interval from 8 minutes to 9 with the goal of 10 minute tee times in the future. None of this will change your opinion of our course, which we already know you will be back, because you had a similar experience and yet you returned. Maybe next time don't book a busy afternoon tee time and play at the full rate early in the morning and set your own pace. Lorann is the kindest and sweetest person I know, and for you to call her rude is more of a reflection on you, than it is on her. Her only fault is her strict adherence to the rules. If you don't like the rule, complain about the rule, not the person who enforces said rule. The male attendant that you worked with was also just following the Standard operating procedure, as you are aware, because you stated that both parties agreed it was followed with strict adherence. Thank you and we hope to read your next review with great anticipation for whatever stories you make up to further justify your complaint.
Your kind words really set the tone for our day! We shall look upon this review as motivation for our future inspiration!
Bang for your buck
I highly recommend this course if you are visiting Las Vegas! Great course-clubhouse-and people!
We wish we had a better clubhouse but it is always good to hear we are just being to picky!
4 out of 5 isnt half bad!
Love Rhodes Ranch
We try and play this course whenever we are in Vegas, but can only afford it through Golf Now because we are not residents of Vegas or even Nevada. Hot Deal is only way we can play for under $150-200/each. Fairways were lush, but the ball ran. Greens were fast and with breaks. Bunkers were good. Not the longest course at just under 5700 yards from the whites, but it has elevation changes, water, desert all around to complicate things. Restaurant has good food and drinks. Beer cart is always out when we have played. Only reason I gave the amenities 4 stars is that the last two times we’ve played, apparently both times on a Wednesday, the driving range is closed Noon to 3. I really dislike spending $75/per person and not get to warm up. Still, we always try to play here when we are in town. Always using the “hot deal”. Definitely recommend. 1 pm tee time; played under 4 hours.
We appreciate the kind words. We would also like to say that we only close the range for that specific time period you like to play. Wednesday from 12-3pm. Try us on a Tuesday or Thursday and you will definitely be able to warm up. If 5700 yards isn't long enough, we suggest playing the blues to give yourself a bit more challenge. Play a distance not a tee.
Confused about negative reviews
Outstanding time.
From Vancouver, was paired with someone from Vegas and another from Houston.
Some confusion to start involving tee time, but all was cleared up.
Staff was friendly and accommodating.
Rental clubs went straighter than my clubs back at home.
Aside from very minor blemishes, course was in pristine condition.
Tough, yet forgiving.
I came here after reading reviews, and left very happy.
If you're in a rush, don't go golfing in a tourist-driven city with lots of tournaments going on.
My round took just over five hours, but I wasn't expecting a four-hour round on a new course (for me) filled with out-of-town golfers who have never played this layout.
I golfed an excellent course and my wife stayed back at the hotel pool.
Uber was handy there and back, as well.
Thanks, Rhodes Ranch!
Finally an honest review by someone who knows what they are talking about. We have played courses all over the valley and have yet to find a course during prime season playing under five hours.
That is definitely a private course request! Maybe one day?
