About
Named after the springs that snake through the layout, Delaware Springs Golf Course is a scenic links-style track that is one of the better values in Texas golf. The low prices and friendly service, combined with a picturesque and challenging golf course, make this a Hill Country favorite.
Architects Dave Axland and Dan Proctor built a natural-looking course that fits the terrain perfectly. The course is nestled into the rolling hills and oak trees along the Highland Lakes, playing 6,891 yards from the tips. During your round you’ll encounter lush fairways frequently loaded with bunkers, large greens that slope severely, and numerous bump and run shots. The designers added a few original touches, such as the descriptive Scottish names for each hole (the 18th is called "Hame" for the home hole).
Another interesting design twist involved placing the signature hole as the opener. Playing 504 yards to a par 5, no. 1 is best attacked with an iron into the left side of a sloping, tree-lined fairway. The creek cuts into the landing area, making it a testy tee shot. The second shot must bend around the dogleg to the left and over the creek, and the approach is into the green shaded by large trees on the right.

good course
only real issue was pace of play over 5 hours is too long

Course is always in great shape, but I would have to say that the greens still a bit bumpy from having been punched about 3 weeks to a month ago.

Great course. Can’t wait to go back.
First time ever playing this course and was pleasantly surprised. Great layout throughout with some hidden challenges snuck in here and there.
The 4 of us got burgers at the clubhouse after our round and were thoroughly impressed.
Staff is very pleasant. Going to book again soon.
Wow
We had a 12:44 tee time. We teed off about 10 minutes later. We had a foursome and a single in front of us. The single was a beginner was hitter the ball all over the course and hit one of the guys that was a foursome in front of him. I was a very slow and long day. I wish we would have know that they had punch the green, they were still fast and bumpy. Tan then on 17 in the fairway we had a group hit into us while we was waiting on the group on the green. No respect never came up to say sorry or my bad. I thought golf was a gentleman sport but now it’s a game of combat and who you can hit into.
Fantastic
A group that of us played this course on a flier headed to San Antonio to play golf. What a Gem this place is. This is a great value course with plenty of challenges. This will now be on our list as a must play when we head this way to play. Well ran, and maintained. Simply a ton of fun to play.

First time ever playing this course and my friends and I were more than happy with the entire experience. Friendly staff, great conditions, fast pace of play, and a killer burger at the grill.

Very friendly staff. Played when it hasn't quite greened up but will probably play the course next year. We are visiting winter Texans and understand without overseeding the course, it won't be pristine but enjoyed our round.
Very Slow and rude marshall
I played today and the pace of play was very slow. If the marshall would have been more worried about the pace of play instead of yelling at me for driving into 6 inch grass with the golf cart to retrieve my ball then you might have got 3 stars. The course was extremely hard and dry. I drove into the grass to retrieve my ball #1 due to a possibility of rattle snakes (clear signs posted!). #2 no sign on that hole to stay on cart path #3 there were NO rocks as the marshall said that they had a cart stuck on the rocks. The grass was about 6-8" deep but I could see into it. Marshall was a complete jerk and caught on a power trip. He needs to do his job and keep oace of play moving instead of being hyper focused on something that didn't hapien and that was me getting stuck on a rock! Miserable dayat Delaware Speings!
Very good course
Course is very solid anyone playing it will have a good time. Pace of play is only issue not bad but could be better
