About
Named after the springs that snake through the layout, Delaware Springs Golf Course is a scenic links-style track that is one of the better values in Texas golf. The low prices and friendly service, combined with a picturesque and challenging golf course, make this a Hill Country favorite.
Architects Dave Axland and Dan Proctor built a natural-looking course that fits the terrain perfectly. The course is nestled into the rolling hills and oak trees along the Highland Lakes, playing 6,891 yards from the tips. During your round you’ll encounter lush fairways frequently loaded with bunkers, large greens that slope severely, and numerous bump and run shots. The designers added a few original touches, such as the descriptive Scottish names for each hole (the 18th is called "Hame" for the home hole).
Another interesting design twist involved placing the signature hole as the opener. Playing 504 yards to a par 5, no. 1 is best attacked with an iron into the left side of a sloping, tree-lined fairway. The creek cuts into the landing area, making it a testy tee shot. The second shot must bend around the dogleg to the left and over the creek, and the approach is into the green shaded by large trees on the right.

Simply amazing
I hope I don’t regret saying this, but this course could be going for 150 and it would be worth it. The course is just amazing, the fairways are well taken care of, the greens are well taken care of and fast. Course layout requires perfect game management, and if you go for it and make it high risk higher reward. And is also the home of mother nature. Everything about the course is just perfect. It might not be close to where you live, but it’s worth the drive
Nice course but sanded greens.
I really like this course layout. I played 3 weeks ago and all the greens were just sanded. It happens and my bad for not calling first. So I just went back three weeks later on July 1 to see how much they had improved. They had just been sanded again. I've never heard of sanding greens twice in three weeks. I was disappointed.
Thoughtless!
They shut down the course because of weather and didn’t stop booking teetimes. Shut down the course with no notice or information on their website. Had their calls transferred to an answering service that had a hard time communicating, and didn’t understand that the course was closed. No provisions for canceling. I wasted two hours driving there and back. When I got to the golf course, there was no rain. The weather was decent and not a soul from the staff there. if they are going to sign up to work with Golf Now they should at least help you get a refund when they shut the course down. Nice course, but the staff has not always been the most helpful.
