About
Named after the springs that snake through the layout, Delaware Springs Golf Course is a scenic links-style track that is one of the better values in Texas golf. The low prices and friendly service, combined with a picturesque and challenging golf course, make this a Hill Country favorite.
Architects Dave Axland and Dan Proctor built a natural-looking course that fits the terrain perfectly. The course is nestled into the rolling hills and oak trees along the Highland Lakes, playing 6,891 yards from the tips. During your round you’ll encounter lush fairways frequently loaded with bunkers, large greens that slope severely, and numerous bump and run shots. The designers added a few original touches, such as the descriptive Scottish names for each hole (the 18th is called "Hame" for the home hole).
Another interesting design twist involved placing the signature hole as the opener. Playing 504 yards to a par 5, no. 1 is best attacked with an iron into the left side of a sloping, tree-lined fairway. The creek cuts into the landing area, making it a testy tee shot. The second shot must bend around the dogleg to the left and over the creek, and the approach is into the green shaded by large trees on the right.

Amazing morning in the Texas Hill Country on a beautiful challenging track. Course in wonderful condition, and look forward to how the greens come out after the verticut and top servicing. I’m sure they will be luscious and roll awesome. Thank you for all of your hard work, and the experience!

Absolutely one of the best in the Austin area, one draw back. Pace of play is horrendous, expect 5 51/2 hour round. Absolutely no attempt to speed thing up. That’s why I’ve played my last round there

A real good day.
Fairways were firm but smooth so drives rolled a little further 😄. Greens were also very firm, but despite the recent sanding were smooth. A great day on the course.

Very pleased with the entire experience. Great course, very well manicured greens and as amiable of a staff that I’ve ever encountered. Definitely recommend to anyone that they visit this course as much as their able.

I had a great experience at Delaware Springs Golf Course. The course was in excellent shape, with well-maintained fairways and fast, true-rolling greens that made for an enjoyable challenge. Pace of play was smooth throughout the round, which made the whole day even more enjoyable. One thing to be mindful of is the local wildlife—rattlesnakes are around, so stay alert when looking for errant balls. Overall, it’s a solid course, and I’ll definitely be back to play again.
