Delaware Springs Golf Course
About
Named after the springs that snake through the layout, Delaware Springs Golf Course is a scenic links-style track that is one of the better values in Texas golf. The low prices and friendly service, combined with a picturesque and challenging golf course, make this a Hill Country favorite.
Architects Dave Axland and Dan Proctor built a natural-looking course that fits the terrain perfectly. The course is nestled into the rolling hills and oak trees along the Highland Lakes, playing 6,891 yards from the tips. During your round you’ll encounter lush fairways frequently loaded with bunkers, large greens that slope severely, and numerous bump and run shots. The designers added a few original touches, such as the descriptive Scottish names for each hole (the 18th is called "Hame" for the home hole).
Another interesting design twist involved placing the signature hole as the opener. Playing 504 yards to a par 5, no. 1 is best attacked with an iron into the left side of a sloping, tree-lined fairway. The creek cuts into the landing area, making it a testy tee shot. The second shot must bend around the dogleg to the left and over the creek, and the approach is into the green shaded by large trees on the right.

Grat place to play and live
Best kept secret in the Texas hill country.
Great course, play fast and friendly people.
Also great value.
If you want a real challenge play from the blacks.
Great course and staff
My “home” course Delaware Springs is well staffed, designed, maintained and just a great place to play.
Delaware Springs is a special muni course
I love Delaware Springs Golf Course. It is scenic, it abounds with wildlife, and it is always in great playing conditions. The staff in the pro shop and the staff in the cafe are all outstanding. The course has tough holes and many risk rewards. I played in windy conditions as a thunderstorm descended upon us. The wind changed from the North to coming from the South and changed how the course played. The grounds team does a wonderful job on the greens (they are fast) and the fairways. Play this course!
Beautiful Course
My wife and I played. Joined by another couple. Course is in excellent shape. Friendly people. We had a great time.
Nice course
Nice course, play was a little slow but will be back to play again.
The course is in really good shape. My only complaint is the putting greens. They are so fast. it's almost impossible to keep your approach shot on the green.
Scheduling Challenge
The people in charge of scheduling on this day dropped an afternoon/evening shotgun start tournament right on top of us as we started the 13th hole.
rainy day
The rain arrived just as we finished. Great timing only made possible with the great pace of play. Staff was wonderful and the course was in great condition. My buddies and I will definitely do it again.
Nice place to play
Delaware Springs is a nice golf course deep into hill country. In fact that is the main issue....distance. Not sure that given the course layout it is worth the drive from Austin. Passing courses that are a bit more expensive, but far closer was a tough pill to swallow. The other surprise was how relatively flat this course is being that it is in the hills. There just isn't a great deal of excitement given the property the course was built on.
Great Small Town Course
Played here for the first time on the first day of Spring! Course was in good shape despite the winter weather here in Texas. Good course with wide fairways, fast greens and beautiful Texas hill country!
Nice hill country retreat
Enjoyed the round on a warm March weekend. Even though course was crowded the pace was relaxing. Course was in very good condition and fee was reasonable for the weekend Can’t wait to play it again
