About
Blackhawk rests on the site of an old dairy farm, where the rolling terrain is suited for this links-style layout. This wide-open course features lots of water, loads of bunkers, and huge greens that are easy to three-putt if your approaches are off and you don’t have that feel for lag putting.
Each side has a punishing finishing hole. No. 9 is a monstrous par 4 that plays 464 yards. Off the tee, the narrow landing area is not conducive for the necessary booming drive, and the water causes problems in the fairway and around the green.
Hole 18 plays 430 yards, requiring a tee shot into the dogleg-right fairway that must thread two bodies of water.
The club prefers that you walk only on weekdays.
Getting there : Take I-35 north out of Austin, then exit FM 1825 east. Drive 5 miles to Hwy. 685 and turn left. Drive another 2.5 miles to Kelly Ln. and turn right.

Golfer Reviews
Great value and not crowded.
It’s not the nicest course in town but it is a great value for the money. Course is challenging and has really come along way in the last year. The greens are well maintained and in good shape. It’s my go to course for a quick round during the week. Pace is a little slow on the weekends but not over 5 hours usually.
Lower your expectations
Greens in decent shape, fairways not so good, tee boxes mediocre at best.
Poor condition course
Poor condition green and poor management on course
Would play almost anywhere else in Austin
There is no fairway, is either dirt or weeds. Would not play here again .
Course will test you
Man, this course plays long, especially the par 3s.
I tried to enter my score on GHIN but it did not recognize this course.
Poor upkeep
This course has a lot of potential but is just missing some love. The condition has improved in the last year but still not very good. I wish they would bring sand traps back. Not worth the amount of money but still the cheapest play.
Good value to play a quick evening round
We played 18 holes in 3 hours and 20 minutes. The course was a little rough but good enough to hone your game and test your progress.
