About
Elks Run Golf Club in Batavia was designed by Greg Norman. It sprawls across 163 lush and secluded acres where golfers will be hard-pressed to find a home anywhere close to the course. Norman carefully utilized the natural terrain, incorporating the meandering creek on several holes and also adding a few holes that venture up the side of a hill. Thanks to the dramatic elevation changes, there are some tees where your ball seems to stay in the air forever. The first nine is more open with a traditional links-style layout that then leads to the more densely wooded back nine. In addition to the trees and other natural hazards, there is also an unusually thick first cut of rough as well as tall stands of native grasses.

Impressive First Time
Decided to try Elks Run. Nice course. Greens were fast but true. Nice GPS equipped carts. Will return.
Great Greg Norman Track
Course is in great shape. A creek runs throughout the course and comes into play on at least sic different holes. Fun, challenging layout.

Very good course
Course has had major improvements since last year. Removal of tall heather grass, improved bunkers, and beautiful well maintained fairways/greens made for a great experience.
Only issue was pace of play very slow and no starter was to be found.
Highly recommend this course especially for the $30 that we paid.

Green Speed Inconsistent
The speed of the greens were inconsistent. The course is more friendly now with the tall grass cut. Rough is generous and not thick and long like it has been a few times. But overall great day!

Elk's Run is in great shape!
Played as a foursome with a 10:00 am tee time on a Tuesday. Pace of play was great - never held up and never pressed from behind.
Fairways, greens and rough were all in good shape universally!

Great improvement !
This was my first time playing Elks Run since the heather has been removed and the general improvements in course conditions. I have played Elks every year since it first opened. I was so happy to see the improvements made by the grounds personnel, Fairways were lush, gone were the burned out areas on both the fairways and greens. removing ALL of the heather certainly made the course more playable and improved pace of play. G. Norman can once again be happy his name is associated to this course. Congrats to the ownership and grounds crew. Certainly becomes one of my top course choices on the east side of Cincinnati. I will be back... soon !

EXELLENT CONDITION
The grounds crew deserves a raise course was in excellent condition at multiple levels such as greens bunkers fairways and great ruff maintenance.

Great layout

Course in great condition
Course was in great condition. A little confusing at parking lot as this is where you get cart and then go to tee box ...Starter knew we had prepaid and said go to first tee and go. Pace of play for 3 players was under 3 hours.

Great day great course
Course was in great shape with a layout that’s very enjoyable. A late afternoon round got us through in less than 4 hours. Greens, fairways and rough were in good shape and very playable. Pretty expensive round if you can’t land a Hot Deal.

Even after all the rain the course is in excellent shape. Staff is always friendly and the fact that we had perfect weather made for a very enjoyable round. Will be back multiple times this summer. One of my favorite local courses.

Fun course
Fun course! Some nice open holes and a few with tough approach shots. Greens were fairly quick for how much it rained last couple of days. Busy day so it was slow, but overall a great course and good experience.

Elks Run for a quick 9 this afternoon, April 21, 2020
Fairways are in really good shape. Greens are still healing from being punched the other week so they were still bumpy but they’ll be coming out of their winter doldrums soon.
Always enjoy getting to the tee box on number 9 looking out over the complex and then ripping one down the right side of the fairway clearing the bunkers as it turns back to the center. A fun hole to grip it and rip it.
