Elks Run Golf Club

The course conditions for still coming out of winter hibernation, was pretty good. The greens were still healing from being plugged, earlier. So, the greens were bumpy and prett hard - but like I said, understanding it’s still only the middle of April.

For respecting Covid-19, pins had foam noodles at the bottom going into cup so that when you bounced off the noodle, you made the putt. No rakes for traps and none of the tee boxes had markers, either. No problem during this accepted protocol in order to play.

Fairways were in nice shape and at the higher elevated tee boxes, always nice views to be had. Enjoyed the day and will certainly be back.

We played Elks Run today, sunday 3-15-20, with a starting temperature of 34 and gusty 15-20 mph winds. The course was also very wet withstanding water.

Even with the above listed conditions, the course was in good shape. It did appear as if the greens had not been cut yet this year.. There were signs of aeration which had been performed some time previous.

Overall we had a pleasant golf experience and enjoyed the course. I would play this course again.

This is a beautiful course that is challenging but fair. I found the conditions to be excellent for this late in the season. I had a few issues with my booking and they were handled above my expectations.

Fun course and time, pace of play needs to be enforced.

For having hot dry weather moderate drought conditions the course was in excellent shape tee boxes were dried out but fairways and greens were excellent

Was kind of worried after seeing some of the bad recent reviews. Played here earlier this year and was in excellent shape and is still not bad for late in the year. Tee boxes are a little chewed up and greens would be better if lazy golfers would repair their ball marks. Only complaint is the pace of play, they have GPS on the cart that tell you are behind pace the ranges should be able to use this to speed up those slower groups

tees are awful - grrens some OK, some bad - sand trap behind a par 3 had so much vegetation growing in it it should be filled in. They've just let the place go. weather has certainly had an effect, but I've played many other courses under the same weather conditions. $39 sounded like a good rate till we played it. should be a warning at checkin that conditions are far from ideal

Been playing Thursday, Friday, and Saturday on a guys weekend in Cincinnati. Played today here at Elks Run. Was cart path only due to rain which in itself is bad at this course due to paths far from the “fairways”. I use that term lightly as the infestation of disease in the fairways was not only on every hole but everywhere throughout. Tee boxes were nonexistent. Every box was an issue. This was one of the city’s premier courses but not anymore. With a late morning tee time at the cost of $50, this was by far the worst condition AND the highest priced so far of the weekend. Driving range was even closed. I have no idea who the course manager is, they should be ashamed! This was embarrassing to take my guests to and will not be returning to this course anytime in the foreseeable future.
