About
Elks Run Golf Club in Batavia was designed by Greg Norman. It sprawls across 163 lush and secluded acres where golfers will be hard-pressed to find a home anywhere close to the course. Norman carefully utilized the natural terrain, incorporating the meandering creek on several holes and also adding a few holes that venture up the side of a hill. Thanks to the dramatic elevation changes, there are some tees where your ball seems to stay in the air forever. The first nine is more open with a traditional links-style layout that then leads to the more densely wooded back nine. In addition to the trees and other natural hazards, there is also an unusually thick first cut of rough as well as tall stands of native grasses.

Great course and great staff everyone is very friendly and organized
Beautiful Course
The facility and staffing were very nice, extremely organized and well maintained. I would absolutely refer this course to friends.
Challenging
Played with my friends for the first time at elks run. Challenging course and very well maintained. Will be to play again in the near future.

Unusually Slow
Had a group in front that was a hole an half behind, all day. The carts have GPS and at the end it recorded that our group was 34 minutes behind. We couldn't play at pace because of the painfully slow group ahead. It would have been nice to see a ranger just once to help move them along, but that didn't happen.

As good as I remembered
I moved away for business reasons back in 2017. Before that time Elks Run was one of my favorite places to play in Cincinnati. Coming back for a visit this week so I booked a round for Sunday morning. Like in the past the course is in top notch condition. Will come back to when I have the opportunity.

Elks Run GC
Challenging layout with elevated tees, fast greens and well placed bunkers. The clubhouse is large with a well stocked pro shop, big bar great food and friendly staff.

Great course with some flaws
I love the layout and condition of the course.
I do have one complaint. Why don't the greens have a fringe? This puts you either up against the long grass mor in the heavy grass if the ball rolls at all (which it does)
Also a second cut on the fairways would be a plus too

Salty
Excited to play ER for the first time this year but poor pace & balls flying everywhere killed our round.

Nice course
Nice course in great shape. Greens are always fast and difficult. Overall in great shape.
When busy, pace can be slow but that’s most courses.
