Rancho Del Sol Golf Club

I love playing at this course because it is so close but we had to wait almost an hour for a cart. They blame the frost but in actuality they don’t have enough carts when the course is completely full. It’s happened three of the last four times or we had to wait 20 minutes or more

Frost delay caused a 5 hour round, very poor operation issues with slotting in too many groups on back nine for their first nine, wait time for us when we got to the 10th tee was about 40 minutes.

We have played RDS a number of times last year, and vowed not to come back for a while. We'll a while was 2 weeks ago and like the layout, the greens in great shape, but the fairways(?) we horrible! Very thin grass, rough was not cut, course was too wet (9:00 am tee time) and for $75.00 not worth it.

Off our list of places to play for quite a while!

A lot of the course is work in progress. The existing driving rang is under construction and looks like it’s going to be homes in lieu of a range. The clubhouse will be demolished in 2022 so they are working out of trailers for pro shop and restaurant. This course has so much potential, just in need of some TLC. From what I gathered, the course shut down for awhile and the taken over by off-road vehicles and now they are trying to resurrect. The tee boxes and fairways can use some help, while the greens and true and fast. This is a cart only course as the back nine goes up in the hills which is fun and challenging. I would play this course again but given the conditions, I don’t think it’s worth the $75 they’re charging. Have fun and hit’em straight.

The staff here was very nice. We got to the course an hour early and the starter let us go off before our tee time. The greens are in great shape and are fast. Fairways need some care and there are difficult lies everywhere else on the course. No driving range here. Great challenging track from the blue tees. Enjoyed the round with a great friend who is a 17 handicap & he really liked the course.

So like most the reviews say the tee boxes need love and the fairways are patchy. But the greens are great as long as people fix the F-Ing divots!!!

Other than that this track has one of the funnest layouts.

Course lay out is fun. Lots of elevation changes and interesting holes, especially on the back side. Fairways are in OK shape, very short winter grass, so if you don't like tight lies, you'll struggle. Ball also tends to roll a mile if you hit the fairways, sometimes not stopping til finding trouble. Greens are very fast, but are receptive.

Actually aced the 8th hole (with a nine iron from the blue tees) and checked with the club house after the round, but was disappointed they didn't even have a certificate to print commemorating it for me.

Fun course. I'll be back.

The 50 yards around each green is very good. Nice smooth greens, bunkers above average and good layouts, nearly every hole had very good green complexes. Tees to the greens were very rough, some unplayable, they were so bad. Still, the price was right and from the Blues, Rancho del Sol is a good test. Some very long holes and challenging par 3's. For the money, I'll play her again...
