Palm Desert Resort Country Club

My son and I were greeted by staff in a very welcoiming manner....we had a chance to practice on the range as well as putting....the weather was perfect and the pace was reasonable.....conditions were good and the course itself is very well kept.....a massive improvement since the HOA bought the course.....

I guess I should have called first to see if they had a driving range that was open. Also, surprised no beverage cart. Course was okay but we played better for less money most of our stay.

Wide fairways are very forgiving so not significant penalty for off line drives. Bunker sand was packed tightly so not the in the best condition for sand play.

#18 is a sharp dogleg with a long carry after the drive. Way too trick of a hole in my opinion but perhaps only due to Ranger advice to play the far left of the fairway off the tee. I thought it was a 3 wood off the tee but he said it was 280 so I used a driver (usually 225) and took teh far left line and went into the water... advice: ... hit straight out with a driver or 3 wood and then play #2 towards the green or left if the carry is too far for you.

I enjoyed PD Resort golf club. The fairways and greens are in excellent condition. The staff were great.

Course is in very good shape; the only concern was the bunkers. Inconsistent sand and hard packed. I think it’s from the way they water. Need to be loosened up every day. Otherwise a nice course

Great shape. Got a good deal thru GolfNow. Awesome range. Greens were small but very true. Fairways beautiful. 18th is a bit tough! Over all a great course and would definitely play again.

This was our first time in the Valley and the first course we played. We were nicely treated by Sharon at check-in, and John our starter. Course was beautifully maintained as a resort course. Nice wide fairways and large greens. A few water holes thrown in for more challenge. Pricing was fair for the peak season in Palm Desert. My wife and I were paired with Don and Dennis from Canada - eh! Great gentlemen to play with. We will play this course again next week.

The course winds thru the gated community, holes were fun, not overly challenging, a few that require some precision. We went early, so pace of play was not an issue. Would recommend it.

Never disappointed golfing here. Course is in excellent shape and staff are always friendly and helpful!
