Don’t Bother
Fairways were mostly dirt, overcrowded, very slow play
Disappointing
This course is really in rough shape. Nearly no grass, especially in the fairways. Weed overgrowth was prominent. It borders some pretty sketchy housing units which made it feel unsafe in parts.
The course itself was pretty easy and I was able to complete all 18 holes in less than two hours. (No one else was on the course).
The positive thing I can share is that the carts seem to be relatively new and in good condition.
Also, there was no Slope or Course Rating on the Scorecard (or published on Golf Now). My guess it’s a 48/85 but unsure really.
Great Hometown Spot
My uncle recommended me to go to this place as he’s been playing there for since he was 16. It’s a stone throw from where I live; Smack dab in the middle of Sarasota. It’s a very easy-going place, executive short course and I got a good deal playing here through golf now.
Very pleasant experience
I golfed with my son-in-law and my 8-year-old grandson. It was the perfect place for an 8-year-old. There was no pressure to hurry. The course was in good condition. The price was great, and the snack bar treated us very well.
It was ok for a short course. Fairways were brown. Lots of bare patches. Not clear where to go, lots of guessing. Staff were nice.
Staff was very nice.
Course was ran down and over crowded. Very poor quality course
The worst course ever
I wouldn’t recommend this dump to my worst enemy. There’s very little grass on the fairways and the greens are in deplorable condition. The owners of this dump should pay the public to play this dump.
Quick Round
More challenging than you think with some narrow greens. Good bang for the buck pretty quiet so we finished in 2 1/2hrs for 18. Gold price for an executive. Greens bumpy.
Course
The greens were ok on the front 9 and the last 4 or 5 holes were to sandy
The tee-boxes were ok a few had dirt then grass
But the fairways were in great shape 👍
Easy Starter Round
As my first round since arriving in Florida this course provided just what I was looking for. While the course condition leaves a lot to be desired I was able to reacquaint myself with my Florida clubs. The pace of play was relaxed with no one pushing me.
Great little course.
Great little course had a great time It was nice and slow for the off-season so really wasn't rushed and didn't have a lot of waiting.
Rough
First, they should be more open on social media and web about it being a par 3 course. Granted I should have seen it when stated par was 56, but where I from folks state par 3 course. That said, the dude working was cool and friendly. Very few players. Growing up in southern WV, trust me, I have played some rough courses via goat paths. This course is in bad shape. The fairways are horrible, but I can get past that, shouldn’t be there much on a par 3, unless your hitting from trash tee boxes like this course has. Some strategic maintenance and care could make some great improvements.
