Ocean View Municipal Golf Course

Excellent value for the money. I played this course with my son after helping him transfer from San Diego. While the course was not terribly difficult, it was in great condition and the weather was perfect.

Visited from sunny south Florida and wanted to play a nice quick 9. Perfect place to do so! Excellent and friendly accommodating staff took care of me from the start as I didn’t know where to go. Covid 19 regulations in place— glad to see while visiting. Will come back when I visit. Will recommend to anyone looking to have a pleasant experience along with a great round of golf! Thanks guys!

Just over 3 years ago, I got a membership and ever since I have been addicted to playing. After my membership ended, I renewed my membership. So what keeps me coming back to OV? First it is the low cost for me to walk the course. Second and a close third, is the great staff and location to my home in Hampton. It is great to see that they maintain the course but even more they are improving the bunkers, drainage, greens and facilities. Many local course do a great job with day-to-day operations but lack improvement. I really believe they want the best for all their golfers.

You’ll be hard pressed to find a course with friendlier staff and better value. It wasn’t the greatest course around, but for the price it’s well worth it. I look forward to playing again once it’s dried out some more, and hopefully with less players on the course.

The Golf shop and Snack bar staff is great, although i wish they would prioritize people in the snack bar making the turn. The course conditions usually leave something to be desired. They need to spend the money where it is needed most. The Greens. They cut almost all grass the same length when you leave the greens as well, so it is hard to tell where the fairway ends and the rough begins. Tee boxes also should be cut like fairway. There attitude about this is kinda lazy, they simply cut the entire tee box the same length, instead of giving you an obvious teeing area with the cut and the rest of the box being longer. They also spend time managing and cutting grass in areas where your ball will never be. They need to stop doiong that, and spend the time learning how to cut a cup properly, so the hole does not cave in.

I love this course. Great course for the price. Staff is friendly and always helpful.. I was unable to play during the summer months due to my wife’s health condition but plan on returning soon.

We like coming out here. Staff are very nice and the carts are well taken care of. We've met some nice people golfing as well. Courses are shorter than most, but will challenge you.

Its an old school golf course, well maintained considering the price. Great staff under long time area Pro Andy Giles. 7 day a week Blitz. Excellent value for the price. .

Course and greens were in great shape. Foggy conditions early morning caused some delays, but overall, a great day.
