Value option in Norfolk
Very short course, tight fairways with a few water hazards. Decent challenge - course condition overall was good with greens just OK.
Given low green fees, overall a great value option in the Norfolk/VA Beach area
Nice executive style course
Played while here for work. It took 2 hours to play 18 holes. It’s a great course to work on things. Next time I’ll play back one set of tees first more a more challenging experience! I wish we had a course like this close to home.
Old reliable
You have to choose a T-time early enough as this well respected course draws a lot of hackers. On this day it was extremely hot spot wasn’t as busy as normal. Our foursome finished in 3:45. Course is in very good shape. Greens were a little shaggy but I think they aren’t cutting them too short to save them from burning up. It’s working!!!
For those unfamiliar, this is a historic course which will celebrate its 100th year in service in 2030. Another bit of trivia, Tiger has played here!!!
Decent course close to home
Starter never showed and there were 4 groups looking to go off. They finally had a groundskeeper open up the cart garage and just give people carts. Teed off about 15 mins late, not a huge deal but no communication from the club house.
Extremely slow
It’s was overbooked so pace of play was as slow as the greens . After seeing the 1st green I thought we were in trouble, but seemed like that one and 10 were the worst two I saw. Of course we hit the 4hour mark on 12, so called it a day, so can’t speak for the rest of the course. Very short but fun
Bad greens, bad tee boxes, felt like a backyard course
I can’t give any good review when the greens are just regular grass cut down. Rolling about a 1Boring course.
Great bang for buck
New favorite local muni. Great facilities and beginner friendly layout. A few greens were struggling but not enough to ruin your round. Will be coming back.
