Nice Layout. Green and fairways are in very good condition. Will definitely play this one again.!

Ocean view course is getting better every time I play it
Outstanding round at Oceanview GC
I've always love to play Oceanview GC. The course is laid out nice. I've been playing this course for over twenty years.

Great little golf course
First and foremost the staff here is beyond AWESOME very friendly and always helpful with questions and commendations. I only get to the area once or twice a year and play here atleast two rounds on each trip. The course is always in good conditions but like everything with nature involved has its plus and minuses. Looking forward to my next trip to VA and the OVGC.

Enjoy a early morning tee time great staff pretty decent course little rough green occasionally but nothing major overall 8/10

Getting better
They lost the greens earlier this year so for weeks while the staff worked to fix them, they were rough. A few of the greens still have some issues but they are coming along. Sadly they are starting to get some crabgrass in a few which is a whole new battle. Fairways are very good as are the majority of tee boxes. For a heavily played course, they keep up with it as well as can be expected. We did get behind a 3-some that were very very slow and would not let our 3-some play through. If I was asked what improvement I’d like to see it would be to space the start times, perhaps alternating starting off 1 & 10 as well as have a marshall ride around and ensure pace is kept up. We have played here 5 or 6 times here this year (weekdays) and every time pace of play has been an issue.
In dire need for a marshal to keep up pace of play
They need to have a marshal go out at least once an hour. People hitting the ball about 75 yards, then repeat 4 times. Once on the green, they putt 6 times. Why bother???

First visit at this course and the last one
Bad experience on this course. No practice area. The only practice area is a short wedge practice area. Hit your own ball and run to get it. The greens are absolutely... I have no words to describe their deplorable state. Good luck being happy with your shot on the green.

Practically no one in front and no one behind us. This was fantastic. Staff is great. Course layout is interesting. The greens and the fairways could be a little bietter. But for the money, you can’t beat it.
