About
Faldo Championship Course at the Wildfire Golf Club measures as long as 6,846 yards, depending on which tees you're shooting from, and lies on 174 acres and features some differences from the average desert-themed golf courses. Faldo offers abundant fairways, big bentgrass greens and tee boxes, as well as the golf course's neighboring mountains, century-old saguaro cacti and 106 sand bunkers - which remind golfers of Aussie sand-belt golf courses, which gives it a magnificent locale for golfers.
Wildfire Golf Club is much-feted: When the Faldo Championship Course opened, the Arizona Republic selected hole No. 2 among the valley's 18 best. The golf course received recognition among the 2006 Travel & Leisure Golf's "World's Best Golf Resorts" for family getaways and in the 2006 Conde Nast Traveler rundown of the "Top 100 Golf Resorts in North America." These are in addition to the Gold Tee Award from Meetings & Conventions Magazine.

Fun Course
I recommend this Course. Fun holes, quite challenging. Great Staff.
The course was in great shape, greens were running pure.
Several of the par 4s were on the longer side so you need your short game to be spot on.
Great Afternoon!
Played high season after 2:00 - still a bit pricey but was worth playing especially when on vacation. Course was in excellent condition - perfectly manicured. A typical desert course with waste areas and lots of traps which required some ability to manage shot direction. All in all I had a wonderful afternoon!
A day at the beach
We play this trac because it is close to home. It has wonderful greens but there are way too many sand traps / bunkers throughout this course. The Palmer course may be a better option if you play at Wildfire.
Bunch bunkers
Played in March. Fairways and greens in good condition. Bunkers were so-so. Hard and inconsistent. Great practice facilities. Pro shop was very limited in men's attire. Nice course but a little steep on the green fee. Pace of play on a Saturday was good. No waiting. About 4 1/14 hrs.
Faldo Cse
Great layout. Played in 3.5 hrs. Among the most spectacular bunkering in the valley. Always in good shape.
Pleasant experience
Nice course. Not overly challenging but very enjoyable. Fairways are spacious and greens are golfer friendly. Play in the afternoon was really fast. All in all, a very good experience.
Sand Galore
As most people have mentioned this course is dominated by bunkers. It’s was a nice course and we enjoyed it but I’d say the bunkers were over the top and just got tiring. Sand was hard as well. Staff was friendly and they explained what we would experience well. For the price I doubt I’ll be back as there are cheaper alternatives just as nice.
Wonderfully intimidating
Please go golf this course! I golf 4 times a week all over the USA, The only thing I don't like about this course is the price, but it needs to be there to be this nice! Greens were smooth and perfect, Fairways, teeboxes, collars and OMG traps were awesome. They could condition the bottom of the traps here and there a little better, the sand gets water in it when they irrigate and makes the sand hard on some of the traps. There are way over 100 traps on this 18 hole track due to Nick and 98 percent are mean and perfect. The Fsldo course is more difficult than the Palmer but just as fun, course management is key, leave the driver in the bag most of the time.
Overpriced nice track
I played 4 other courses on this trip and compared to those it is way over priced. Whirlwind is every bit as nice a course for a fraction of the cost. Same style of course too.
