Faldo at Wildfire Golf Club at Desert Ridge Resort
About
Faldo Championship Course at the Wildfire Golf Club measures as long as 6,846 yards, depending on which tees you're shooting from, and lies on 174 acres and features some differences from the average desert-themed golf courses. Faldo offers abundant fairways, big bentgrass greens and tee boxes, as well as the golf course's neighboring mountains, century-old saguaro cacti and 106 sand bunkers - which remind golfers of Aussie sand-belt golf courses, which gives it a magnificent locale for golfers.
Wildfire Golf Club is much-feted: When the Faldo Championship Course opened, the Arizona Republic selected hole No. 2 among the valley's 18 best. The golf course received recognition among the 2006 Travel & Leisure Golf's "World's Best Golf Resorts" for family getaways and in the 2006 Conde Nast Traveler rundown of the "Top 100 Golf Resorts in North America." These are in addition to the Gold Tee Award from Meetings & Conventions Magazine.

Golfer Reviews
Great round!
Played Wildfire Faldo for the first time. Loved it! Everything was outstanding, the course, the weather, the amenities....all top notch. Staff was friendly and efficient.
The course is amazing....bring your sand wedge! :-)
Kicked my butt
I felt like I needed to invest in some Sahara real estate as there are sooooo many sand bunkers and I visited most of them. Course was pretty good except for the over the top amount of sand bunkers. Probably will never play this course again.
Spectacular as always
Bring your sand game, hit em straight and set puts on a line. All around great experience.
Great day
We played a 3 some in just over 3 hours. Course was challenging, with fast firm greens, but a dream to putt. Will be back
Unbelievable course conditions
Although very expensive course was great. Greens ; Fairways and Tee boxes were immaculate; Just after reseeding . As always Hit well score well but just missed shots would usually add 1 or 2 strokes to your score. Bunkers were very deep ; sand was excellent
Worth the trip
Drove up from Tucson to play and was very pleased. Staff very helpful, practice area in excellent shape as was the course.
Course was in good shape lot of variations in the landscape. The one thing that did get me was the parking fee of $8 which is paid after playing, not a big deal but I think they should tell you that up front. Your paying 100 dollars plus and then turn around and hit you to park your car, it’s a first for me.
Nice course. Excellent shape.
It was pretty hot. No cart person. Water provided no cups.
Challenging but fun
The Faldo course is a lot of fun to play. There are challenging holes along the way. There is a lot of sand so be prepared. I am an average golfer (13 handicap) and would play here again.
