My favorite par 3 at LR. Photo submitted by Douglas7907013 on 07/21/2015
Played early and hot temperature was not a factor. Tee boxes in good shape and so were the greens but the traps were terrible.. It appeared as if the traps were not taken care of since the hot weather began as they were either not raked, weeds and grass were growing and in some there was literally no sand and the ball was lying on hard packed ground or small rocks. To avoid damaging the clubs we picked up out of the traps and chipped up over the trap. the other party with us (single) did the same. Very nice course otherwise.
.
Great course
Pop could have been better but still got the round in 4.5 hrs. Highly recommend and in excellent condition. Staff was outstanding and wife got to enjoy the spa while we played a round. Will definitely play again
Great course, nice shape, tough greens, sand traps need real sand ....... overall really enjoyed
Solid, tough course
Greens and fairways in excellent shape for late winter.
Bunkers have no sand, just rocks and hardpan. Play it as an unplayable lie.
15 handicappers should play the silver tees. While shorter, it's still a challenge.
Restaurant staff is friendly, food is good.
Nice clubhouse.
Excellent course but way overpriced for out-of-towners
Course was immaculate! Especially liked the undulating greens. Excellent conditions tee to green. Only negative is the price. As nice as it is, it's not worth $100 when compared to dozens of courses I play in Las Vegas & Phoenix area. I still have to give it 5 stars for the golf experience.
Good condition, poor summer amenities
This course does not have a flat spot! Greens are extreme when it comes to slope. The layout in concrete of what hole you are on does not match the path or signs. It is poorly marked when it comes to signs and direction. Summer hours...the course does not have a snack shack or beverage cart.
Awesome
Beautiful. Greens were really slow. A lot of uphill play. Only negative thing was the price. Way to high for non-resident.
Great Friday and Saturday
The course was in excellent shape. Speed of play was good. It was a great weekend of golf.
Challenging course - beautiful views abound
Fairways and greens are in great condition on this course. There is a lot of elevation change, so most holes are playing either up or downhill. I'm a 14 handicap who drives straight off tees. If you spray the ball around off of tees, you will score high here, since anything off the fairway is in the scrub. That said, I recommend playing tees at your skill level to make a more enjoyable experience. Views all over the course are absolutely stunning, so enjoy! Bunkers are difficult and desert hardpan at this time so beware if you get in one.
Breathtaking views!
No slow play the day we went out. Played as a twosome in 31/2 hours. 5 sets of tees, well placed bunkers. Beautiful views on every tee box.
Overbooking takes all the fun out of a golfing day
The course had been overbooked and additional groups appear to have been allowed out which resulted in extremely slow play, 3 hours for 9 holes is not a pleasant experience even if the course is in good shape.
The day started with the news that my tee time had been moved back without any advice and then they could not get the groups out in any semblance of order or timeliness. It was also evident that they did not have sufficient golf carts for the number of players on the course, as they were rushing carts from the 18th back to get new groups out.
The only saving grace for the day was the starter sending me back around the front nine again.
Course good, but disappointing not to finish...
Booked a tee time to have enough light to finish the round, showed up 40 minutes prior to tee time and was told that I would need to wait at least 45 minutes for a cart to become available as all the carts were in use on the course...So I could use the practice facility if I could 'find any balls down there', which there was none...So used the practice green for about 15 minutes and then sat and waited for a cart to be deliver which ended up being 45 minutes after my booked tee time...Course pace was a bit slow...The other twosome stopped at the turn to reload their cooler and clubhouse had no urgency to get them back out on the course...Needless to say we played 17 in the dark and then returned to the clubhouse...disappointing for the rate paid with no offer of range balls to compensate for delay of nearly an hour...
Nice Layout, Slow Play
Positives: Nice, challenging layout. Good clubhouse and practice facility.
Negatives: Pace of play. We waited on every hole and never saw a ranger (5:35 min round). Sand traps were hard packed and full of rocks and pebbles. Greens were sparse. Charged for range balls even though they were supposed to come with the round.
Course is a must!
Great layout but slow play so have time. No marshalls. Nobody around at 6:00 PM to ask about your round!
Dont miss this course
Great layout. Can be difficult if you choose the wrong tee's.
Thanks so much for the review!
Awesome experience!
Great round of golf. Course was challenging and made us think where to play the ball. Breathtaking views of the mountains & valley. We will definitely be back for more rounds in the near future!
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a review. We are so fortunate to have such amazing scenery here at Laughlin. It is so great to hear you enjoyed your visit with us and we hope to see you again soon!
Lot of fun and a good challange to play; in great shape
Had a great time playing this course. My threesome finished in about 3.5 hours. The course is very hilly. Even if they allowed it this is not a walking course. Fairways and greens were in great shape. The rough was challenging. The sand traps were not playable; many rocks and drainage problems. This is the one area that could use improvement. Many side hill lies but nothing ridicules. The greens were smooth but very slow. We all agreed we would like to play it again. Start to finish we had a great time.
their were 144 players out in front of you in our yearly tournament, gettin ready to do ready to do it again.
Thank you so much for your feedback! We're glad you enjoyed the course. We apologize that you didn't get to finish your round and that there were some delays. On the day you played we were running behind because of a large group - we do our best to turn carts as quickly as possible but we know there was some waiting time the day you played. If you'd like discuss your experience with us in more detail, we encourage you to call our manager Tad Holloway at 866-684-4653.
