My favorite par 3 at LR. Photo submitted by Douglas7907013 on 07/21/2015
Sask Snowbird
except for the wind the course was in good to excellent condition.
greens had been trimmed and firmed up for the tourney that played last week and were in tourney condition.
not a big fan of the rocks and pebbles in the traps, would be better with pure sand.
Great as usual
Great layout great shape friendly and helpful staff just a treat to play can get windy at times but that just makes for a few surprises and laughs restaurant food is good and happy hour offers some nice options
Just one of the Best
Just a great golf course in great shape greens were perfect fair speed layout is extremely challenging but fair for any golfer when played from the right tee box just a fun place to spend about 4 hours playing in the wind makes you really think your shots out Have fun
No Assisant
There were a few 'high handicap' golf groups ahead of us and no players assistant to be seen helping to keep pace. Considering the difficulty level and windy conditions there should be better monitoring of this.
5+ hour round is not acceptable.
Play it❗️
Played two days apart. Both days extremely windy!. Course in good shape fairways, tee boxes and greens.
Green side bunkers have sand but fairway bunkers like concrete. No ball washers on carts or tees. Very few garbage bins . Staff very friendly and accommodating. First class facility but lacks the above mentioned items but can’t blame the excessive wind on them but Mother Nature❗️
Would play again ❗️
Get it in writing
Tee times called through 60 days ago, quoted fee of $90-95 dollars. Arrive at course and cashier wanted $150. Besides having a poor attitude and unwilling to listen, definitely do not appreciate being told one thing and finding out it wasn’t true!
Could we afford the $150 ? Yes, but it now becomes principal and we chose to walk away. Glad that Laughlin Ranch is doing so well that they can let $600 in tee times, plus another $150- $200 food and beverage walk away..
Have been playing LR yearly since their day one, good luck to the course but buyer beware!
A Great Golf Course
Laughlin Ranch is a great track with a variety of holes. You will use every club in your bag. Water is in play on several holes which is unusual for a course in the high desert. The greens were fast and true.
My only negatives are that the half-way house was closed when we made the turn and we did not see the beverage cart until 17. Also, the back nine became a death March as groups stacked up behind a slow foursome. We never saw a ranger.
Still, this is a great course and I love playing here.
Definitely the best course in the Mojave Valley. Worth every penny. Requires some 'course management' but overall not too difficult. (Full disclosure it wasn't windy which it can be in the area quite often)
Best course for miles
We play LR every time we come to the area. The staff is always exceptional as is the course. The views on the course are worth the trip itself. When you complete your round, the massage is exceptional and always refreshing. The bar is always a hit. If you are looking for a great place to spend the day, this is it.
Awesome
First class amenities.Very challenging course design. Gorgeous views. Bullhead city has a real winner here !
