Golfer Reviews
The course was very wet and it had not rained for more than 24 hours and even then it had been only a passing shower. Otherwise, the course was very nice. We did not have to wait until the back nine and then it was a pretty consistent wait every hole due to the foursome in front of us, but our threesome completed the group in just over four hours still. Fun day.
Lots of water!
Course was in good shape and a fun course to play. Lots of sand and water to avoid! Lots of turkeys too! Drizzled most of the day we played but had a great time.
Boggy fairways
Apparently new groundskeeper is overwatering everywhere. Greens were fine, but we had many places that were absolutely waterlogged for no reason (it hasn’t rained in awhile). If it weren’t for all the muddy places, it would have been a great golf experience. Please make sure to stop the overwatering
Perfect
Played twice in m’y two weeks vacation, everything is perfect, and if in bonus you find a good deal on TEE Time, can’t find a better deal!
I like Crown Park a Lot, especially since there are no houses. Conditions were good and the pace of play was very good. It has some very interesting holes.
Nice layout
Layout requires a lot of thought about paying several of the holes. A thinking man's course for certain. Green were good with lots of contours but fair. Most of the couse was VERY WET which was surprising as to no recent rain. Course has limited number of carts, so don't expect to be able to use a cart to go to driving range. For the price a reasonable value.
Nice condition, greens and fairways.
Very good condition based on my past rounds there. Fairways had just been over seeded but had not started growing yet.
Good but pace of play is a problem
Teeing off at 2 pm on a Wednesday should not result in a 4 hour 40 minute round!
Slow Golf
My son and I drove out to Crown Park thinking we would get away from crowded courses. That was not the case. It took well over 4 hours to complete 18 holes. As well as I could tell, there were no marshals trying to monitor pace of play. There was also a guy walking with 18 dogs, which I thought was very weird.
