Unlike some Jack Nicklaus golf courses that have earned a reputation for being among the world's most difficult, mid- and high-handicappers stand a fighting chance at the Grand Bear Golf Course. Nicklaus offers wide fairways before the sprawling woods take over on either side, most bunkers aren't horribly steep, and greens generally have room in front to run a shot up. The winding Biloxi River helps build Grand Bear to a dramatic finish. The par-3 14th hole plays through a chute of woods to a green guarded by the river below that runs along diagonally, punishing hooked shots left short. After another par 3 on the 16th that plays with the river to the left, the 17th once again plays over the river on the drive, then parallel to the hole. The 18th hole plays long and uphill back toward the clubhouse.

Great choice
From the moment we pulled into the parking lot, it was the most welcoming experience we have ever had! Michelle helped load our clubs and and greeted us with the course history and layout! Pro Shop manager was very nice and accommodating! Theresa, bar tender, was a delight and food was was very good! Seth, a young man starter, greeted us with professionalism and a sincere welcome as he escorted us out to the first tee and proved to be a wealth of knowledge of the course layout! Course was in great condition with great greens and tee boxes! Would highly recommend a round here! Looking forward to returning!
Nature's best
If you like getting away from the populace then this is ideal. 7 miles deep in the woods and you find this beautiful course.
This course is beautiful and the driving range and practice greens are very well looked after. What's not to like?
The staff were super nice and actually drove out to let us know the moment they opened the fairways for carts to be driven on.
We will definitely be back!
Scenic Ride to Great Golf
About 1/2 hour from the the beach in Gulfport. You drive through a national forest to a great golf course. We played here several times and always enjoyed it. The golf includes the range with practice balls so get there early. Course was in excellent shape we played April 6th

Nice Track, glad I got the Golfnow discount...Played twice in March and received great Golf Now rates, nice layout and fairway conditions good, greens were not as good as I had hoped..Have played it 3 times in 2 years , will not need to play again.
Beautiful Jack's Course
Nice layout. Difficult for the average golfer but open fairways for those missed shots. Exceptional Par 3s. Very reasonable for the after 2pm golfer.
