About

Holes 18
Type Public/Resort
Style Links
Par 72
Length 7618 yards
Slope 142
Rating 77.3

Golf at Grande Dunes and Beach Club in North Myrtle Beach is played on a grand scale. The course is set high on a bluff overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway, with panoramic views of the waterway and maritime forest. It's 7,618 yards, with a very difficult slope rating of 141. Five holes play along the waterway. The greens are grand, averaging 10,000 square feet with eight rotating pin placements, ensuring the course changes significantly from day to day. There is plenty of water, to be sure: the par-5 17th hole has water running down the entire left side and a moat fronting the green, for example. There are also some nice elevation changes; the par-3 14th hole has about a 65-foot drop, with the green jutting out over the waterway.

So great, I went back twice

Played on Monday as a single, paired me with a couple very nice people. Loved the course! Superb. I’ve been to the area and played 75 or so courses.. this is top 3! Liked it so much I went back Wednesday and played again from one tee farther back. Highest recommendations.

Great course

Course was in excellent condition, great club house. Very upscale and nicer than most courses. Pace of play on the back 9 was not there but the group were not golfers and wouldn’t let anyone through. Love the course and will be back!

Grande Dunes - Big Time

After watching Grande Dunes on TV (Korn Ferry) I decided to take my skills to see how I'd fair on a tournament course, so this was a big deal.

The course didn't disappoint. Just enough variety to keep your attention and a couple of par 3 pretty enough for a post card and challenging enough for a 5 Hdcp

Will be back.

Grande Experience

The range, chipping area, putting area, fairways and greens were perfect. There were two spots where I feel there could be better signage showing where the next hole is, but I love this course. There was a group 3 groups ahead of us who slowed things down. Otherwise it would’ve been a perfect round.

We will play this course again when we visit in September

Great conditions

Can’t fault the condition of the course from tee to green it was terrific. We teed off at 7:39 and were going great until we hit the 10th hole where iit was a log jam with three groups on the tee, under two hours for front 9 and 3 hours for back nine, looks like they jammed people off 10 and really killed the flow. Course itself is extremely wide off the tees and all of the challenge is hitting the greens in the right areas and then navigating a heap of borrow and slopes. Thoroughly enjoyed the course but would probably play it off longer tees as it was a bit short off the white.

Nice place

Course conditions were excellent. Had to wait 15 minutes for the starter to show up and send us out. They started us on 10 so we had to play the first part of our round with the morning golfers. After the turn play freed up and it was quite nice. Great course.

Not Cheap but Worth it

Obviously, the course is great. There was a little confusion about starting time, but that got corrected quickly. The layout of the course varies significantly hole to hole Which offers a new challenge every time. The greens are incredibly true and in great shape. I hit an eight iron with a great deal of loft. It hit the green and the left no Mark. Surprising! Lots of water and Greenside bunkers so if that scares you look someplace else. The staff was incredibly helpful and professional.
