Greens have some bad areas. Traps slightly
below acceptable. Course has potential, but needs
some TLC.

I am new to Florida and have played 5 different courses and this Hernando Oaks is now my favorite. Fairway and greens were the best I have played since I moved to Florida 2 months ago.

Liked the course design and it has good par 3's. The traps were well placed but more gravel than sand. Clubhouse/restaurant closes very early as does the washrooms. Huge greens.

This was the best Florida course that I have played is what I told my golf partners. Then on # 15 I found myself in a greenside bunker, there was maybe 1/8 inch of sand in the bottom of the trap . I realize that greenside bunkers are meant to require a certain skill level to get out, but if you are going to have sand traps on your course, please maintain them. Overall the course is a real jewel, I will definitely go back- but at the price you charge, keep up on the maintenance. Now I got that out of the way, I have to say the staff was friendly, and the rest of the experience was great

We reserved an afternoon time on this site for $20 and free range balls included per the reservation. When we arrived we were told that the range was closed for maintenance. This was at 2:30 P.M. The employee did not seem to care that I purchased the tee time partly cause of the range and he did not offer any remedy to the problem. He actually blamed Golf now for not updating the website. The carts are used Disney carts and are in rough shape. The fairways are very dry and the greens are half bad, half decent. This course is steadily going downhill and this is my second bad experience with it. Lesson learned and I will never be back, I recommend playing somewhere else until they work on the course and their customer service.

I couldn't wait to play Hernado Oaks again after recently moving back to the area. The layout, fast greens, and secluded location were all I could think of for days leading up to my tee time. Once on the grounds, I still found the layout and course beautiful as ever. However, the greens were horrendous, splotchy, and some contained what appeared to be divots.

The most crushing thing for me was to see all the new home construction dotting the landscape. It's hard for me to see this course continuing to provide peaceful therapeutic rounds in the future. New homes outline the course and dominate the landscape, taking the place of trees and natural Florida vegetation that once ruled as far as the eye could see.

Even with poor green the course is a must play - do it now before it's too late!

The course was in good shape , greens had lots of grass and playable as well as the fairways. A little slow and was waiting at the tee box at most holes. Only drawback was if you landed in sand trap there was not much sand or they had mud in them .

Played on a saturday and i had a tee time of 2pm. Wasn't able to tee off until 245pm. A very crowded day (Saturday) and poor management of the groups caused a clog on the first tee. Otherwise this course is a beautiful course, and the prices are very low, you'll get a great deal. It's a steal to play here.

I like the course layout and variety of holes. The tee boxes and fairways were good, but the greens were not very good at all. Fun course to play.

The course overall was good condition. Greens need some greening up. Pace of play was not good 4 hours 50 minute round. There were four groups waiting on first tee. It was first nice day in the past week so everybody was out to play. I would play again at a faster pace

Great design. The have obvious financial issues with an unfinished monster clubhouse. Great staff is turning it around. Certainly recommend this place.

My brother wasn't sure we should play here because he thought the course wasn't very good from a previous encounter. HE WAS WRONG!!!!
After a less than enthusiastic welcome and a first tee line up with no starter in sight, the course proved to be a winner. Course conditions were great, the greens were fast and huge and the variety of holes amazing. We'll go back hopefully with different pro shop staff on hand.

Fair ways greens beautiful one hole wasn't to good but great golf course

This was my 2nd trip up to Hernando Oaks from my home in Holiday. Predawn rain made the course a little bit soggy in places, especially the low spots in the fairways and more than a few bunkers were holding water. The greens however were in fantastic shape, medium soft under your feet and probably an 8 or 9 on the stimp. The fairways are beautifully carpeted and the rough was cut low about 2 maybe 2 1/2 inches deep. The weather was cool and pretty breezy. Finished the round in just under 4 hours and never had to wait on any tee box to play. This is a wonderful beauty of a course with generously wide fairways for the big hitters and 5 tee options. If you're sick of playing some of the smaller over booked packed course's during the winter months in Pasco and Pinellas counties then you should make the drive up to Hernando Oaks.

Présente un excellent défi pour les golfeurs de tout niveau. Les verts étaient en bonne condition et très bien protégés par des fosses de sable stratégiquement positionnees ou par des étendues d'eau. Les allées sont en bonne condition, seul bémol, les fosses de sable auraient avantage à etre travaillées et les nombreux gravillons mêlés au sable enlevés ce qui rendrait le jeu encore plus attrayant et agréable. Je rejouerai ce terrain durant mon séjour et le recommanderai favorablement à quiconque m'en fera la demande.

Good course, great layout. above average conditions.

I have played Hernando Oaks many times, and have always found it to be in good to excellent condition. However, as per the pro shop staff, they have some serious financial issues.

Rolling terrain, undulating greens and generous fairways makes this a fun course to play. Pay attention to the red/yellow stakes - psst, best to check the course signage and score card - to avoid shot errors. Played 18 then 9 more, it was that enjoyable.

The course was a little wet from all the rain but overall great golf course for the price.

The worst sand traps in the area but the fairways are pretty good and the greens are in reasonable shape. Course seems to have some financial issues. Greens are being overtaken by a thick green weed. Right now these weeds are showing on several greens but the patches are growing larger. A lot of work needs to be done to bring the course back to a superior standard. Only one set of tees rated for women.
