About
The Silverthorn Country Club golf course has earned its challenging 132 slope rating through a combination of rolling terrain, unpredictable Florida Gulf Coast winds, and no less than 96 strategically-placed bunkers. Joe Lee designed this course and it offers a mixture of wide-open links-style holes and tight, tree-lined fairways. The 25,000 square foot clubhouse offers a scenic vista of Silverthorn's championship golf course, surrounding lakes and splendid Florida sunsets. Was skeptical
But after playing, it’s definitely not as bad as the reviews are saying. They are behind on mowing though and the rough was so long.
Most of the fairways are starting to come back, hopefully that season is behind them.
Great value
I have played here many times. The course is currently in great condition. The price is better than the it should be. I hope it stays this way as this is my closest course.
Silverthorn coming back!
They have done a great job bringing back the course. Greens were a little slow but fairways and tee boxes were in pretty good shape. The only disappointment was that there were groups in front with kids running around the fairways. Just slowed everything down. Overall, a good experience.
Rough rough
The course was in great shape for the most part. They need to cut the rough back and to invest in some sand. Greens were mostly the best I've seen on the course in years.
Improved conditions!
The course has improved since the last time we played it, Tee boxes, fairways and greens were all improved. Only one fairway was filled with clumbs of weeds. Keep up the good work!
Hot 🥵
Course in good shape. Rain has helped out tremendously. Greens look nice, roll slow. Fairways decent. I enjoy the course and play regularly.
Nice course
Nice course and clubhouse. Good carts. Enough water to lose a sleeve. 7/10, would play again.
Pleasantly Surprised
I had played this course several times in the past. I've read all the negative reviews but I was still up for giving it a shot. The course was in very good shape and I would play it again.
Nice Layout
This course has a good layout, the holes are different from one another. It’s in good shape, most courses are getting ratty this time of year.
Much improved!!
Last few times here,fairways were dry and sparse. Much better now! Greens were good, not too slow.
Bunkers were not kept( and there are alot). Suggest deciding to drop from bunkers before you begin.
Overall, very good shape.
Bigger improvements
I noticed lately the fairways have been getting nicer, probably because of the rain.
The greens are in nice condition, little slow.
I wish they had more early morning tee times.
