About
The Silverthorn Country Club golf course has earned its challenging 132 slope rating through a combination of rolling terrain, unpredictable Florida Gulf Coast winds, and no less than 96 strategically-placed bunkers. Joe Lee designed this course and it offers a mixture of wide-open links-style holes and tight, tree-lined fairways. The 25,000 square foot clubhouse offers a scenic vista of Silverthorn's championship golf course, surrounding lakes and splendid Florida sunsets. This classic blend of southern charm and golfing tradition will create wonderful memories for your golf trip to Brooksville

Course in poor condition.
Fairways rough shape. Hard to find grass to hit off. Teebox nice. Greens need attention.
Improved
Hadn't played here for a year, generally course was somewhat improved, greens were better and fairways not quite so bare in places. Overall an enjoyable experience

Nice people nice layout really needs work

Great course, but many golfers need etiquette lessons
Maybe it was just an anomaly day, but there were 2 separate flights we ended up behind that were unaware how slow they were playing, but did not offer to let us play through. The first was a group of 3 that played tees too far back for their ability and would spend several minutes looking for balls in addition, and we finally ended up going around them. The other was a single we offered to group with and they declined, and then proceeded to take as much time as the 3some above on a few of the holes culminating with getting on the green on the last hole and taking literally over 2 MINUTES to fix divots, line it up in both directions in sections and take his putt. It's our fault for not notifying the course marshal. Awesome day, overall.
