Sherman Hills Golf Club

Tee boxes, fairways and greens all in good to great shape. Play was slow due to one foursome but otherwise no complaints.

Course was in good condition for this time of the year.

The greens had been punched and sanded in the last 2 weeks. So they were slow, but rolled true. And will be great in another week or two.

The only negative is there were only 16 cars in the parking lot, so not busy at all. I teed off behind a threesome who were part of a 3 group outing of some sort. I waited on every shot on every hole as did the twosome behind me. And they never even offered to let me through. Took almost 4 hours to play. I could have easily been done in 3 if the had the etiquette to let me through.

Other than the pace, a nice round of golf. I'll be back soon!

Have played Sherman Hills many times due to the location between me and a friend I play golf with. Price is always high and comparable to winter rates. Sherman Hills rates do not come down for summer play. Have played there after flooding with 3 holes closed---still paid non discount rate. Played when 4 greens closed for repair---still paid non discount rate. Played when greens were dead---still paid non discount rates. Played Friday May 22 with greens unplayable due to punchng and sand---still paid non discount rate.Played the round exceptionally quick becuse the greens were not playable and we did not putt. Hit a green and moved to next hole. No other players on course. We played 18 in less than 3 hours due to no putting and decided to play #1 hole over again. Bad move. Cart barn redneck yelled at us and called us thieves so we left. They charge a rediculaous rate so my thought is they are the thieves.Saw another golfer get yelled at for not raking bunker. They are not bunkers but pits with smooth clat dirt---no sand, never had sand.

Will not return although logistics are best for me and others.

I was pleasantly surprised as I haven't played here in almost two yrs. Same layout but very well maintained and still shows it has the grab that a good course has. I will definitely return to play again.

We drive from Tarpon Springs to play here because we love the lay out. Most times we play under 4 hours while visitation today was well over 5hours and 22 minutes. A scramble was happening in front of us and they were allowed to drive the carts just off the greens and to the tee boxes to speed up play. The beverage cart gal was very pleasant and beer prices are not bad at all . Was cash only. Nice and cold.

The course has a nice layout and a friendly staff. My playing partners like coming here and haven't been disappointed yet. The course is in pretty good shape considering there hasn't been much rain this year. For the price it's a pretty good deal.

Nice on the course with my wife. Like most courses in the area need rain. Pace of play great played in three hours

Probably the best course for the money in and out of Tampa area. Obviously every course needs water with the lack of rain but even still the course was in really good shape, only a couple greens had issues on the edges but pin placement fixes that. Fairways were decent considering the no rain and the layout is one of my favorites because it's 2 different nines

Course is in excellent conditions considering the drought the area has been having. Pro shop staff is always very friendly!

This course is in excellent condition. Florida is in the mist of a long dry spell. This course has found a way to overcome any issues with greens. They were about an 9 for speed. You could spin the ball on the greens. I shot 74 with no issues. Play was slow because there were people playing that do not know the courtesy of golf. Parking golf cart in front on the green when on they were on the green. Also driving golf cart between green side bunker and green. No ranger on course.

The pace of play didn’t allow for any rhythm. The starts and stops were especially prevalent on the back side.

On a positive note, Jessica is always friendly and professional.

The course was in real good condition, especially considering the lack of rain. Still one of favorites.

The course is in pretty good shape considering the lack of rain, Fairways and greens are starting to show signs of the drought. The staff here tries hard to keep course in shape and is the most friendly staff in the area by far.

Very nice layout and kept up very well. Not a flat course and fun to play. And it is challenging.
