Sherman Hills Golf Club

Local course, I do enjoy the course but there are a couple things I have experienced both times I have been here. First, the putting green is in terrible shape and does not at all reflect the quality and difficulty of the greens on course. I do however enjoy practicing out of the bunkers around the practice green.

The biggest issue has been pace of play and overcrowding. Had an 11:47 team time but we didn't tee off until 12:20 due to a massive backlog at the 1st tee. We hoped it would spread out nicely but it really didn't and we had long waits between shots.

I will return as I love the layout of the course, it is good quality and close to home. I know its snowbird season here in Florida and that means a lot more people playing golf on a Saturday. If the course could just limit the amount of people a bit it would go a long way to keep pace of play more bearable.

This course is one of my favorites in the area. The staff is friendly and take care of all your needs> They make a great Cuban sandwhich either a 1/2 or a whole with chips. They always have good deals in their pro shop.

Overall for this time of year, the course was in pretty good shape. Fairways were a bit spotty but that should come back once the rain starts.

The course is getting better and better.

After the storm last year, a great clean-up was done, especially on the back nine. Many trees have been cleared out, and the sun will be able to do some good work on holes 13 and 14 so even more grass can grow.

I've been coming here various times throughout the years. The course is holding up well despite the lack of rain. The staff has always been nice and accommodating. The best time to play is during the week where you can get around pretty quickly.

Way too slow slow of pace. Bro golfers with little skill slowing down the game.

Loved my experience at Sherman Hills. Great staff, friendly service, greens were rolling nice and fairways were great. For the price you cannot complain about anything.

Reasonably good conditions for how dry it’s been and time of year. Pace was slow. No rangers. Group ahead had two holes open ahead of them. Group behind us was rude as they hit into twice. No where to go, just rude golfers!

Drought and frost has turned the course brown.

Greens still ok. Pace of play was slow. 4-1/2 hr round. Someone up ahead was wearing steel cleats and leaving spike marks around the hole. Needed to pick up their feet. Staff was excellent. Always feel welcome.

Course always over books tee times.One hour late in teeing off .Did not complete round until 5:30 After having a 10:50 tee time. No ranger on course.Will never play this course again.

This course is notorious for overbooking. This is the 3rd time we have played here in 6 months. We have yet to be able to tee off on time. Always a 30-45 min wait.

Today was an hour 15 min wait. This course is poorly managed when it comes to tee times. They overbook and also do not have a ranger to maintain pace of play.

On hole 2 they are 8 groups waiting. The next hole on hole 3 has another 6 groups waiting. Also in the 6 1/2 hr rd we saw the cart girl once with no water drinking stations.

Course over books tee times. One hour behind on tee off times. Thruout the front nine they were backed up three or four groups. No ranger on course.Scheduled tee off time was 10:54 and completed time was 5:30. Will never play this course again.

We arrived at 10:00 a.m. for an 11:00 a.m. tee time and were told the course was already an hour behind due to a massive “morning group” of members. Two groups totaling around 100 golfers were allowed to go out, even though the staff admitted they were expecting about half that number. When we questioned the delay, we were told, “We can’t control members.”

We did not tee off until noon. By the second tee box, play had completely backed up, with a 30-minute wait alongside six other carts. The round took over five hours to complete. While the course conditions were good considering a recent freeze, the pace of play and overall course management were unacceptable.

This was a poorly run operation that showed no regard for scheduled tee times. I will not be returning.

We had a 12:30 tee time to play 18 and didn’t get a cart till 1:20, along with all the other groups there. Pace was so slow we didn’t finish the front 9 until 4:30. The employees seemed to want to help, but this is third experience like this here. Till they become reasonable with spreading out tee times we won’t be back. $250 for a foursome to finish 9 holes in over 3 hours just doesn’t make sense.
