Bear's Best Atlanta

Only complaint is I wish i had known the grrens had recently been aerated & sanded...... i would've waited a few more weeks.

This course has immaculate greens, true roll and super fast. The layout is gorgeous and conditions were prime. We did not meet the beverage cart until 12 holes into our round which wasn't ideal (needed some swing lube). Its a great track and really well maintained, but getting your full value out of the greens fee is tough when its that expensive.

Upon arrival, I explained that we had two different fees and asked that all three of us be allowed the lower rate. They explained that that was not possible. So we paid, headed out to find that another threesome was being moved ahead of us to our alotted tee time. I explained my displeasure and while they said they would move them behind us, they in fact squeezed them ahead of us. The only thing that allowed us was to wait on every shot while we watched the group ahead drive on the fairways [it was cart path only] and walk out of bunkers having not raked them. Discouraging that such a nice place allowed such behavior by both staff and guests.

third or fourth time playing this course, and probably last. For the amount of money they usually charge, this course should be in better shape - tee boxes are terrible.

Layout is challenging, to say the least. Need to be a very good golfer to score well here.

We play this course a lot and enjoy it. During peak golf season, always check to insure a golf or corporate outing is not scheduled, since they have a lot of these. Condition of the course is pretty good with the exception of the greenside bunkers and greens often have a lot of unrepaired ball marks. My biggest complaint is the slow pace of play often experienced here. Nothing is done to promote a normal pace of play. Five hour rounds are not uncommon.

Enjoyable, no pressure 4 hr round...adequate:10 spacing between tee times and 10.5+ BENT green speed! Great experience

This was my first time playing Bear's Best - Atlanta. The weather was COLD... 40 degrees with a wind-chill of 32, but I thoroughly enjoyed the facility as a whole. Not only did I enjoy lunch, the staff, pace of play, but also the course. Yes, we're coming out of the winter months here in Atlanta, but the greens are in immaculate conditions. I highly recommend playing this course rain, shine, hot, or cold. Looking forward to my next trip to Suwanee.

I was really looking forward to playing at this course. I believe the normal price was $129, but we paid $89 for twilight. Paying this much I was a little surprised the price didn't include range balls and the carts didn't have GPS. This is off-season in Atlanta and therefore the fairways were all dead grass and the fairways were painted green. Considering the grass was dormant and the fairways were barely wet, it was disappointing that the whole course was cart path only. I'm sure the course is beautiful when the trees are filled in and the grass is green, but it wasn't when we played. The greens were in great shape, very fast, and very difficult to read. Staff was friendly and the food was very good in the clubhouse.

This is a great course. The fact that is a collection of The Golden Bears best holes makes it even better. It is extremely challenging. The greens have multiple levels. Very tricky but a lot of fun.

We play this course often. We love the winter overseeding, but the tees need work on many holes. The bunkers definitely need work on most holes; very shallow base of sand. The biggest negative is the slow pace of play when crowded. The marshals do little to nothing to improve this situation. Generally, the layout is very good and a great place to play.

A great layout and generally in good condition during the winter months.. Greens were acceptable, cannot expect too much with painted dormant fairways (I get that) but the tee boxes were in terrible shape with zero grass and huge sand divots on the par 3 holes....they may want to consider overseeding at a minimum, the tee boxes..I guess for a little over $50, I should be happy...Oddly enough an association I am a member of is hosting a tournament there soon and I will skip as I refuse to pay the more than double the green fees I paid on my own...when the course conditions are great it is truly a treat to play Bears Best..

Scheduled a tee time via Golf Now and was told by possibly the rudest and most ignorant security guard that the course was closed and that I couldn't enter to speak to the pro shop. The second time I tried to play, the course was so backed up and the average round here will easily run about 4:30 hours on the weekend with a twosome considering the overbooking here. I'd max pay 25$ to play 18 on this course. You're better off playing sugar hill right down the street or if you can find a better deal at st Marlo since Bear's always costs about 50.

I haven't played Bear's Best in a while. I was impressed with the variety of the holes and the course layout and the course condition. It was a fun afternoon. Pricey, but worth it for from time to time
