Great venue at a great price
Sand traps need work and the greens could be a little softer; but, otherwise the course is in great condition. The greens are fast; but, they need to be softer to hold approach shots and sand traps need to have more sand and be more consistent throughout the course.
Its a fun and challenging course. The length of it makes it very difficult to reach in 2 on par 4s.
It was a very good course in great condition. Although on the first few hole we confronted maintanence people , which kinda bothers me, it didnt bother me too much. I think parts of the course were over watered a little bit. But I guess in Gilroy there needs to be continual watering. Too bad because its easier to hit a ball off a dry lye than a wet one.
Good course with challenges
This course is good with challenges. Need accurate 2nd shots and good reading for the green
Nice Layout in the Hills of Gilroy
This is a very nice course that provides a challenge to golfers of every skill level.
Tight Fairways and some required carries makes this a test of your complete game.
Driving Range is well maintained and allows shots from the Grass.
Try this Nice Course for your next Golf Outing
Great condition
Strategic with good elevation changes. I would recommend a morning tee time as it does get warm in the afternoons in Gilroy.
The greens were very Challenging.
We had great weather, Course was in good shape
had a few brown spots. Pro shop staff was very friendly. The only thing that we had trouble with were the cart guys gave us well used cart that the brakes were bad in after we pointed it out to them the day before. Over all great time.
Course is enjoyable
Greens were fast and in great shape but the fairways in certain spots needed repair. But for the most part the course was in good condition.
Great Course
This was a very fun course. It is challenging but very well kept. I would recommend this course to everyone. It is never too crowded and the keep the pace at a good and fast pace.
Premium for lack of accuracy
Excellent layout with some very challenging holes. You have to hit the right side of the green otherwise it is easy to make a 3 putt with the undulations. You can't afford to relax on this course despite the beautiful scenery as one miss hit shot off some of the shots can cost you dearly. Looking forward to playing there again! Staff very friendly and pleasant, good practice facilities.
This course has good features but not easy to the first time player at this course, not be seen the green from tee box in most holes.

course is great
I go to eagle ridge once in awhile n plus every 3rd month when I get my car oil change service done, so i play at eagle ridge while I wait till car is done. And price is fair also.
They are always friendly and course is great.
First Class
This is a terrific course. We enjoyed every single hole. Very well maintained, scenic, and the folks are extremely friendly. Loved the greens--readable and true. They will undoubtably gain a little more speed through the summer heat, but rolling very well now. Our threesome took a little 2-day trip that included this round on the second day heading home. We all agreed we will be making the 1 hour 45 minute drive down here and back for a day trip soon.
Bunkers are horrible. There are rocks that will damage and scratch your clubs.

Eagle Ridge
Course in pretty good condition. Staff very helpful.
Challenging design, on a beutiful course
Eagle Ridge is the toughest course in Santa Clara. Long narrow fairways, elevated greens guarded by sand traps. The more you play here the more you appreciate this hidden gem.
Challenging course, don't expect to have breakfast before the round
Course is in good condition, pace of play was a bit slow, for a Friday. Restaurant does not open before 9:00 AM. Pro shop staff is friendly and efficient, remainder of the staff, not so friendly.
Nice course and good pace
Course is in very good condition. Good pace and finished in less than 4 hours.
thinking (wo)man's course from tee to green
first time playing, had heard it was a tough/typical johnny miller layout. Was pleasantly surprised, definitely a course that requires you to think through every stroke. Tough for sure, with plenty of trouble, but less than perfect shots were not unduly penalized. reasonable length from the blues, but very few grip + rip holes from the tee, with layouts often ideally calling for a shaped drive or else forcing a shorter club to avoid trouble. Several holes require correct placement of the tee ball or else you will have to shape a shot around trees for your approach. Green complexes are tough with liberal bunkering. The greens are a bit too tricked up for my taste, with a lot of movement and elevation changes such that your target on a 30yd green may only be 8-10yds, miss on the wrong level, or even above the hole and you may have a hideous putt. If they were running faster (were probably a 9) they would be almost impossible.
Conditioning was very good, the greens appear to have three different strains on them including poa (looks like camouflage) but credit to the greenskeeping crew, they were reasonably quick and fairly true even towards end of day.
excellent course and highly recommend
Very kind, and excellent and challengable course.
Highly recommend !
Challenging yet handlable if you hit straight.
I would say it is the easiest of the Johny Miller courses I have played but it is still not easy. Not long from the white tees so it can be had but sooner or later you will hit it where you cannot be. Isn't that the way a course should be? I loved the greens.
