Whisper Creek Golf Club

My biggest complaint was that there were no 150 or 100 yard markers! Cmon man,not everybody uses a range finder. Very poor course conditions,they need a new superintendent. Crab geass on tees,greens were horrible. Scruffy,sandy,but weren't aerated,strange indeed. They were slowww! Sand traps are weed traps with dirt. Over watered and muddy in spots. Find another location.

I last played Whisper 2 years ago. At that time the grass was unkept, greens and tee boxes were overgrown and mushy, and traps were mud pits. I heard they were under a different management group so I gave them another chance. Unfortunately, it’s gotten worse. I actually asked the manager on duty about it and he said they need to invest about $1 million but the owners, not the management group will not. It’s in a retirement community so the pace of play is never going to be great, however I have never been here and able to ride the carts free range it’s always cart path or at best 90 degrees. There were times we couldn’t tell if we were in the fairway or not. The worst is hole 18 is visible from the restaurant and it’s the best kept hole, giving me false hope as I prepared to play and saw beautiful waterfall and fairway from the bar. For 70$ (special it’s usually 75) even the two we were paired with said it is awful value compared to all the courses in that area.

What was once a beautiful course has now become a weed patch. Not sure who is managing this course but it is pitiful.

Great place to play. The course layout was great and in nice condition. The greens were smooth and true. Some of the bunkers were rough, but overall a fantastic course. The club house is really nice and the staff was awesome. I can't wait to play it again.

The course is always in good shape and well taken care of. Staff is great and have never had a problem. This course has a good mix of challenging and straight forward holes.

Played behind 2 older couples who played painstakingly slow and didn't play ready golf. Made our round almost 5 hours and not want to return as the rangers were unwilling to press them to play faster. Play is always slow on hole 8 as your second shot is always a blind shot over the creek since they do not maintain the shoreline so you can see the fairway on the other side. If they would cut down the weeds it would open up the view of the hole and avoid hitting into the group ahead. Great design of a hole that is ruined by maintenance. All bunkers are grass and weed filled with little to no sand especially in the fairways. Won't play again unless they fix the traps!!
