Located just 40 minutes from downtown Chicago, Coyote Run Golf Course is one of the area's best golf values. At just under 6,478 yards from the back tees, the course is challenging enough for the scratch golfer but gentle enough for less advanced players to approach with confidence. Each of the three tees offers a unique look and feel, providing plenty of variety. Water plays a prominent role on the golf course, coming into play on a total of 11 holes beginning with the opening hole. The tee shot on this par 4 requires a carry over water to a generous landing area. Careful course management and skillful approaches to the sloped greens are the key to doing well on this layout. Coyote Run G.C. also boasts a lighted driving range with grass tees and four target greens, practice putting and chipping greens, and even a three-hole practice course.

The Greens
Everything was 4 and five stars, except the greens. They had been aerated and were still not in good shape. Had we been told that they were like that it would have been fine.
Other than that we had an excellent outing.
A good run
Coyote run is a great course for any golfer. It’s got challenges and surprises! Very happy with the conditions great fairways and great rolling greens! Definitely a place for everyone!
Good course
The only downside was all the green were being aerated.
Excellent Course Conditions
Always like playing this Course, excellent condition and reasonably challenging.
Pace of play
It would have been advantageous if there were a ranger on the course to help speed up the play. One foursome can really back things up. Overall a fine windy day.

Would recommend
As usual, the course was in excellent condition. Pace of play, due to one foursome was very slow (almost a 5 hour round). Not sure why the Ranger did not deal with this group. Stopped at the turn for a hotdog, which took an extremely long time as there was only one person at the bar and one in the kitchen. However, not a big issue since play was so slow.
Missed gem
Great course all around. Sand, greens, and fairways are well maintained especially considering their very very reasonable rates. Would highly recommend trying this course.
Worth the drive
I really enjoy this course. It’s on the shorter side and pretty wide open but actually really challenging.
Wide fairways and pretty well maintained with some long par 5’s and par 3’s.
It’s an excellent course for the price.
They let the course go
Do not go here unless you can play for free the course is in HORRIBLE shape which is a shame because i use to love playing here but the greens are brown and have big divots the fairways are also brown with weeds and HUGE divots. STAY AWAY from this course
Love this course.
Course always in great shape,I always tee off early so the only problem with that is you have to wait once in awhile for grounds crew to finish cutting greens or changing pins.

There is no grass on the greens to cut there is barely grass on the fairway to cut.
