Eaglewood Resort & Spa
About
Located just northwest of Chicago, the Eaglewood Resort & Spa opened for play in 1932. It is a classic championship golf course, built during a time when the long drive was unheard of. The 6,017-yard layout seems short by today's standards, but the course still offers a formidable challenge. It features rolling fairways lined with century-old oak trees and wildly undulating, difficult-to-read greens with varying speeds that fluctuate depending on the weather, season, and even time of day. There are generous landing areas but they are bordered by deep, strategically placed bunkers that are just waiting to swallow even slightly errant shots. The carefully sculpted and plentiful bunkers are a prominent feature of the layout. Eaglewood's scenic landscape also has three lakes that come into play on eight holes.

Eaglewood Resort GC
Course is in great shape and we enjoyed our round. Will be back soon. Thank you.
Great Course
It in a resort. length wise bit short, but if you
play from back, its OK.
Some Greens are very difficult
Course conditon is very good!
Great Couse
It is the resort. Course condtion is pretty good
We played from back tee which is reasonably
challenging even distance is short comparing
other courses. Its very nice course
Putting is bit difficult espcially downhill.
Don't offer a 540 tee time.e if you close at 7
We booked a 540 tee time on this course and at 705 the ranger rolled up to hole 7 tee box and told us that's it we're done and had to leave... what the what? A twosome jumped in front of us at 4 and slowed us down also. Where was the ranger to regulate them?? Why offer a 540 tee time knowing that's not enough time to finish 9. The price was the the same as earlier too so its not like we were offered prorated pricing.... thumbs down!
Pace of play was a little slow. Not sure what can be done to fix it because the holes are very close to each other. Wasn’t a bad place to play but is a little too expensive for what it is.
Good course for all level of golfers
The course had some easy Par 4s that I like. There were several challenging holes that caused be to shot 4 strokes above my handicap. We had a great time
Call it average
No starter so 5 some ahead of us. Shorter course but okay for the cost
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We apologize for the inconvenience of not having a starter available during your visit. We appreciate your feedback and hope to provide an even better experience in the future.
Everyone was on every hole at the same time
We would sometimes wait to tee off because people from other holes would have hit into our fairway and they would drive straight to their ball and not wait for us in the middle of our tee shots. Once, there were 3 different 4somes playing from our fairway. However, pace was ok. Some of the tees probably need to be moved as the tee boxes were getting a little chewed up.
Awful Players
Fun layout, despite being very short. Has a foursome of older gentlemen in front of me who played at a snails pace. Nearly 4 hour round when the round should have taken 3. Group in front drove carts onto teeboxes and even greens. I’ve never in my life seen it. Informed staff and they didn’t seem to care. Such a shame that a fun little course like this is ruined by the players on it.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We apologize for the negative experience you had with slow play and the behavior of other players during your round. We appreciate your feedback and will address this issue with our staff to ensure a better experience for our future guests.
Great value at a central location
I have played this course several time due to the central location (it is about 30-40min drive for everyone i usually golf with).
The course is well kept, challenging but playable, well priced, and is well run.
Lots of par 4 with interesting greens.
