6+ hour pace of play
The pace of play was so slow that partner and I quit after hole 4

Nice course for the Rate paid
It was a beautiful fall day. the scenery was great. Play was a little slow, because of the fivesome in front of me. Course was in good condition. Enjoyed the hilly terrain.

Confusing tee boxes
Course layout wasn’t great and some rough holes to figure out.

Lake Golf
It would have been a perfect day had the speed of play been better. They did not have marshals working. There was a threesome in front of us hitting 3 and 4 shots on every hole. Plus twosomes every where. We let some of them play through but it made our round 5.5 hours.

Bear Creek
September golf! Bear Creek was in excellent condition. Even though the leaves are just starting to fall, the greens have been cleared of those that have. Greens may be in the best condition since I have been coming here for several years. I have told friends, if going to the Lake Ozark area, set a tee time at Bear Creek.

Love playing here in the Ozark hills/woods.
The course is very nice despite tough weather conditions this summer.
The greens held and putted true but patrons are not fixing divots. There was little to no evidence of fungus/damage.
Zoysia fairways are friendly and very well manicured.
Tee Boxes are well defined and maintained.
Green side sand traps have course sand, were raked and difficult.
Hole #16 par 3 cart path is being reconstructed for safer access to tees down a steep hill.
Recommend high handicappers play forward due to the challenging layout/sloping fairways or bring lots of balls.
This course does not return to the club house at the turn so a snack hut/restroom is available for beer, hot dog or brawt at hole 10 and 13. There is another restroom at #7/#15.
Pace of play was 4 1/2 hours. Not bad considering a threesome wasn’t fast.

Pace of play
Pace of play was the only issue. We were a twosome so we expect a little slow play but when the foursome ahead of us decides to play more than one ball on various shots, it's a bit ridiculous. Finally, the group asked us if we wanted to play through....on 16. Nearly 5 hours for the round is a bit slow. I think BCV has GPS tracking on all carts, perhaps they can find a way to better manage slow play.
