Indian Wells Golf Resort - Celebrity Course
About
Indian Well Golf Resort boasts two championship courses that have been ranked in the top 20 golf courses in California. The Celebrity Course was first to open in 2006 and it was joined a year later by the Players Course. The Celebrity Course offers stunning mountain views from start to finish. It has been the two-time host to the PGA Tour's Skins Game. Water is a prominent feature of the scenic landscape with streams, brooks, and split-level lakes connected by cascading waterfalls. The lush, undulating fairways contrast beautifully with the colorful flowers and sparkling blue waters. Both the greens and fairways are kept in immaculate condition. In addition to the golf course, Indian Wells also offers a practice area with a putting and chipping green and practice bunkers.

Great course & this is a great time to play it
Good value for this time of the year. Course was in great shape & it was not hot this day. Plus they gave extra discount for the temp.
Beautiful course, first class operation all the way.
We live in Palm Desert so usually we play at our "home" course, Desert Willow. But in the summer, it is possible to play other courses at reasonable prices, so we headed over to Indian Wells Celebrity course. We found the staff to be helpful, the greens immaculate (though tricky) and the conditions excellent. We especially noted the amount of shade, compared to many desert courses. It is really nice to have so much shade available in the summer! And the many water features were at least mentally cooling and nice to look at. We will definitely return. Also, we had a really delicious lunch in the restaurant afterwards. And the "special" was a Grey Goose Martini for $7, so took advantage of that, too! It was a good day.
Must play if you are in palm Springs
The players course is kept in incredibly beautiful condition for late June, it is really green and the putting surfaces were in great shape. The friendliness of the pro shop staff, starter and the ice delivering marshals made a great day even better. The fairways have narrowed choke points which catch you if you miss your line from the tee box. back nine was in need of a little more attention, but there were plenty of workers in operation on this date. Club house is very nice and had a good sale on, so bought a couple of nice polo tee shirts as a souvenir. Had a good day and will play again next time we visit.
Nicest course I have ever played.
This course is beatiful. I have played all over the country and this isthe nicest I have ever played by far. Pebble Beach might be the only course that I liked more but they were booked and it cost too much anyways.
Beautiful , but over watered!
Course is stunning and overall, in great condition. However, when you play in the desert in the middle of June, your ball shouldn't plug in the fairway because the course has been grossly over watered. Spent the entire round cleaning my play after every shot. Its this sort of course management that gives golf in general a bad name for water usage.
Played the Celebrity course - should also be noted that there are a lot of blind shots form the tees and fairways.
Great shape for early June
Challenging course... Great but difficult lay-out. A target course. Very deep and often punishing fairway bunkers. Overall a great course for better golfers.
the course was maintained and had very nice features.
The course made a mistake with the pager they gave us. It never went off and they did not come to let us know on the range. They made us feel like we were late for our tee time. Then they pushed us out behind a twosome and a very very slow foursome. This made for a very long round of golf in the heat.We were not happy with the pace of play and will not be back. Oak Quarry and Soboba Springs are two nicer places to play without the frustration. A 5hr round of golf in the heat , forget it , my wife and I play in 3 in a half everywhere else.
Beautiful course & fast greens
The course is worth a visit just for the aesthetic value alone. A challenging course with reasonably broad fairways and fast greens. Also, the only course I know of with Indian burial grounds! Try it out, you won't be disappointed.
Beautiful Setting for a great game. Stop and smell the roses.
This challenging course was in great condition and the the scenery is terrific. Everyone working at the course were so friendly and helpful. Enjoy your play.
Nice Course - But Service Was (once again) Not the Best
I played the "Players" course this time. And once again I was impressed with the course, but NOT impressed with the service. Their tacky "beeper system" for notifying you of your impending tee time is annoying. Their lack of parking (and signage to the parking) are also annoying. When I asked at the pro shop why parking is so hard to find (and so far from the pro shop) the response was, "we have valet parking right in front". Valet parking to golf? Really? The bottom line on this facility is that they cater to the rich NON GOLFERS! Which brings me to my next point. It seems like the more expensive the course, the worse the golfers are on that course. This is especially true at this course. I have now played 4 rounds at this course, and none of the 12 other players I have played with have shot better than 95 or 100. And watching others playing the course, I haven't seen any single digit handicappers ... I am not really a golf "snob", but when I play an expensive and challenging course, it would be nice to occasionlly play with a player or two that isn't losing a ball on every other hole, and taking 3 to 4 shots to reach the green on every par 4... It is tough to play well when the other 3 players in the 4-some are taking 2 or 3 shots for every shot you are taking...
Great conditions, interesting layout, friendly pro shop staff. Recommend.
Played on 5/22/2013...1:30 TT...97 degrees...windy conditions. Good practice facility with 9 hole putting course. Friendly pro shop staff relayed relevant info about the course... Rolling 10+- on s- meter, etc. got us out earlier than assigned time and had no one in front of us. Landscaping was cool with gardens and water features abounding. Played whites and shot 86 (14.3 index). Great layout and very well maintained. Will play again. Recommended.
Big Break Indian Wells
Had a great round of golf. Really enjoyed the course where they filmed the reality golf show Big Break Indian Wells. Staff were friendly, helpful, and professional. Would definately golf there again
Must play, Great service
1st class all the way, great service and a very well maintained course.
Always Awesome!
Love that course! One of the best in the desert for sure. I will be back.......
Stunningly beautiful
From the first tee to the 18th green the Celebrity Course at Indian Wells is breathtaking and rewarding.
Very difficult greens
This was a wonderful course. There was a shortage of water and ice throughout the course but the staff worked very hard to keep us hydrated. The tee boxes were great as were the fairways. The greens were way too fast for recreation golfers but we enjoyed the challenge. This is one of the best courses in the area.
Pretty, in excellent condition and generally impressive.
Very well maintained, lush and beautiful. Interesting holes also. This was my first time in Palm Springs and I wanted to make sure we got to play really nice courses providing us unique experience. This course was the right choice.
Favorite course in the area
This course is maintained beautifully. My husband and are are fairly good golfers, have played for 30 years at courses all over the world and this is one our favorites. Challenging but fair for the average golfer.
Beautiful course
Played the celebrity course for 60.00 each which was a fair price. Would not have paid 125.00 to golf here or any other course. The grounds here are beautiful along with the views. The course has it's challenges but the fairways have enough room to make it fair so your not cringing at every shot. The pro shop staff were very friendly.
Unequalled
I've played close to 30 courses down here in Palm Springs, and this is the winner. Nothing at pga west even comes close. The greens rolled quick and true, yet were soft enough to land and stick. Water falls and features were on nearly every hole, but were only in play on a few. Deep emerald fairways were perfectly maintained.
