Solicitors and/or staff screening required
I was fortunate or so I thought to play at Dos Lagos based upon the feedback from my friends that scouted the course prior to our golf clubs tournament 19Feb2022. This is definitely a course that you want to play a second time because publications don't do the hidden nuances justice. There is no driving range and not much of a putting surface to practice on as well. My complaint is about staff or a vendor whom was soliciting donations on that day. Mind you the course was crowded and I believe two tournaments were in play. My club had 36 personnel on that day, most are retired veterans and/or work for DOD; we are a very ethnically rich club with all ethnicities well represented. The vendor made the statement "It’s been real slow, but there is a group of 28 in front and you can't say anything to them, because they'll say it's racism", unbeknownst to him he was talking to one of our members...remember all ethnicities are well represented in our club. 2/3rds of our club maintain a 15 or below index that’s registered with SCGA. Do to this episode I personally will not play this course again, I can't speak for our club but I will recommend strongly to remove this course from our rotation in the future.

Pace of Play
I realize we played on a Friday afternoon, however almost three hours for 9 holes is ridiculous. We waited at least 15 minutes on each hole. Many groups were twosomes and that’s part of the problem. The staf was very friendly!!!

Slow
5 Hour round after a 30 Minute Frost Delay. Course is always slow but this was midweek. check inwas a pain,. wouldn't give cart until just before the delayed tee time. Then at starter she argued and told him I didn't check in. Then said I didn't pay yet. Even though I was prepaid . Definitely can be a little more friendly.

Horrible conditions. 5 hours to play 14 holes and no Marshall in sight.

Longest Round Of My Life
Pace of play was absolutely horrendous. Front almost took 3 hrs and there were multiple holes we were waiting 10 + min to tee off. Marshall showed up to one hole and was never to be seen again. Course itself is nice but won’t be back considering we didn’t even finish. Started at 11:32 and left at 430 after finishing the 13/14th.

slow play
fairways were very thin, but it is winter. greens were in good shape. I like the course, but it was to slow, had to wait on every hole

Dye gets a little crazy
Loved the course. #6 it beyond a crazy hole, it’s unfair. Front side is tight. Backside is open and has 4 great holes in my opinion #11 #14 #15 16. Ruth, in the Pro Shop makes you feel like the place is your home. Nice atmosphere. No driving range is a big drawback. Par 70/it’s easy to make a bogey.
