Dos Lagos Golf Course

The course was in good shape. The day was a little chilly early on but weather was nice, course was in decent shape, and greens were fast. Always enjoy playing here when the weather is nice and I recommend a round at this course for anyone looking for a challenge.

First when I drove up, the course looked fantastic; however, the fairways are dormant and sprayed green. The greens were in good shape. Two big complaints. First, it looks like they are trying to speed up play. That’s good, however the Marshall had no clue what he was doing. He told us that we needed so speed up. We told him we had beef waiting on every shot due to the back up in front of us. That didn’t matter to him. He told us we needed to hit instead of watching the group on the green. We were only 180 yards out. Sorry, but I am not interested in hitting the golfers in front of us. His comments are a big safety issue!!! The last big complaint was the pin placement on a few of the holes. They were placed on unfair slopes, a great way to slow down the round for all players. This course has potential, but needs a superintendent to mange their staff better.

Used to golf here often. I’m surprised at how the fairway greens have become so brown and dry, when compared to neighboring golf courses. Much of the fairways looks neglected, again compared to neighboring courses. My biggest complaint however is they don’t have a Marshall to keep the pace of play going smoothly. It gets too crowded here now and the starter doesn’t hold off in between groups. I played two days in a row and each day was the same. The starter needs to hold back groups a bit longer, so as to prevent back ups at every single hole. Also, hire a dαмη Marshall!

Fairways are dormant, and the dry lies are definitely tough especially for chipping. Greens are good

Course is in pretty good shape with a few bare areas on fairway and around the greens, but most of time the lie is ok. Greens is great shape. Course is quite challenging with a lot of blind shots and greens with all sorts of slopes to figure. not exceptionally fast, but ball can pass hole and keep running down some of slopes. While some of course is fairly rolling, some holes are quite hilly, would be a challenging walk. Only a net for warm ups.

greens are too fast. carts have no gps . many holes are cart path only making it even more slow to play.

Played here many times over the yrs. Getting worse and worse.

-Overpriced tee times spread at 9min.

-No range, just two hitting mats older than the last cowboys SB trophy.

-typically two old guys will camp on the mats stretching 90min prior to their tee time. So you won’t have access anyhow.

- GPS in carts? No, you don’t even get a windshield.

-absolutely zero implementation of pace of play. Marshall rides around chatting.

-Your round will not be shorter than 5hrs and that's on a great day. Anticipate 6hrs+. (Today’s front 9 was 3hrs.)

-course condition is mediocre, at best. Especially when adding all other factors.
