Dos Lagos Golf Course

Been coming here since they opened, this place has seen better days. Although dos hasnt price gauge its customers like most courses have since covid thats maybe why the fairways and tee boxes have suffered. I know it rained 2 days before teeing off on Saturday… i got no notification that it was cart path only . Maybe an email to notify groups and maybe a discount. I will always say the first teebox should be the 10th hole. That would improve pace of play and it should be 12 minutes in between tee times.

Dos Lagos is a picturesque course that gets a huge amount of traffic during a given day. In fact, we were shocked to see how many carts were stacked up at the first teebox when we were leaving. They have never price gauged their green fees so that is commendable.

On the day we played we were surprised to hear it was “cart path only” as there were no noticeable muddy or wet areas on the course. In fact, I’ve never seen Dos this yellow and dry far as fairways go. I get So Cal has been cold but hopefully this past weeks rain helps Dos get its mojo back when it comes to a playable fairway lie.

ANY pace of play issue (yes manager pay attention) can be resolved by timing out your tee times 10min apart instead of 8 and starting people on the easier 10th hole (make it #1) instead of the narrow, penal first hole . Flip the 9’s and see your pace of play issue improve overnight !

Only three group on the course, the pace of play is perfect. The green is very fast even if the grass is wet.

It took 6 HOURS to finish our round. One time I counted 24 golf carts that I could see from where I could see from where I was standing.

To make matters worse, the course was in terrible condition. It was like a minefield in the fairways. There's almost no shade and almost no green. The only redeeming factor was the greens. They were in very good condition.

I definitely won't be coming back here.

A pretty hard course, but very fun.

Beautiful back 9 and awesome staff.

They forced me to skip hole 1 and I was there at the tee box 1 minute before my tee time. I’ve played hundreds of rounds that’s the first time I’ve ever been forced to skip a hole when I’m before the tee time !

A lot of big groups more than four people that took more than 5 1/2 six hours to play would recommend staff to have a Marshall break up some of these groups

Fun course pace of play could have a little better but it was a Saturday so to be expected the greens were terrific have multiple tears you won’t have a single strait put all day only blemish is No Driving Range they do have a netted cage tho I recommend it and I’ll be back

We played behind a very slow foursome and there was no marshal to hurry them along. We got about thirty minutes behind pace and didn't get to finish the last hole,

There were nice new screens attached to the cart, but the volume was set to 11 - way too loud!

Course is always well maintained. It is a shame that covid golfers do not repair divits. These hacks ruin courses. Hanah makes a great burrito. Pace of play was a bit slow but we were behind golfers that should be play a par 3 course. Greens were fast and pin locations were in tough locations. Pro shop is always friendly. Great price for the course and layout is fun and challenging.

Cheenitos in front of us walked with a remote control cart for her bag. Older man hitting from beyond the blue tee box, why I couldn’t figure it out. He would hit 2-3 balls every hole. Threesome in front of them. Pace of play was terrible of course it’s what you expect at 1:45pm for $47. Older woman would fish out balls at all the water holes slowing us down and frankly we were running out of patience. One hole She would not get out of our line of fire. “Ball path”

We shouted out to her letting her know we were going to proceed with game. Warned her several times but she kept on fishing. My Son tried to chip over her but bladed ball right at her. She had to jump out of way or ball would have struck her in the chest.

We left course after that took place. We were only able to play 15 holes because of what happened. Super duper slow. So sad, so inconsiderate, so Stupid.

The layout is extremely difficult! But the course is wrapped by hilled and dry landscape. Issues are with how a lot of the fairways and tee boxes were brown or chewed up. People were super friendly and the price was great. But just a little more care/watering/seeding and this course could one of the best in the area! Will definitely play again.
