About
Hawk's Eye Golf Resort in Bellaire is one of the top 15 public courses in the state of Michigan. The championship course is the centerpiece of a tucked away golf community in the northern part of the state. The golf course offers something for every skill level. Beginners are welcomed by the generous fairways and forgiving greens while the more advanced players will enjoy all of the risk-reward opportunities. The back tees are also positioned so that there are more forced carries that require greater accuracy. The layout sprawls across windswept hills and wooded valleys. The towering trees give way to beautiful views of Intermediate Lake and the surrounding countryside. In addition to the golf course, Hawk's Eye offer practice facilities including large driving range and a nine-hole putting course.

18 Great Holes
Fantastic layout with great hole design after great hole design! One green in rough shape and par 3 tee boxes were pretty beat up but most of course was immaculate.
Played it on a Wednesday with very little play but did slow down a bit toward end..not the courses fault as landing areas are pretty forgiving.
One of best layout we've played, anywhere!
Great value, great layout, great conditions!
It started out great and Mark in the pro shop was phenomenal!!! It was a super hot day but we only saw the bev cart twice. That was the only thing I can note. The greens were firm and fair and the fairways were in great shape too. A couple if tee boxes were a bit tore up and needed some attention. Thanks again to Mark for getting us out early and for the hospitality!

Hawks Eye
The course is a great value, we hardly saw anyone else on the course, the fairways are wide but challenging and the greens were modera fast, however a couple look like they still are recovering from some winter kill. Over all the course is great.

Course is an amazing design! Either uphill or downhill on virtually every hole! Immaculate tee boxes, fairways and greens. Loved the speed of the greens, and nothing was straight in. Lots of subtle sliding putts. Definitely a must play!

could be better
Impossible to know where the pin locations are and with the greens having significant slopes it would be nice. Only saw the beverage cart once and that was disappointing. For all the rain, course was in good shape. Pace was ok. About what you would think at a course like this.

Pretty Course
Considering that we played in the early season the course was in good shape and was pretty to look at.
Play was slow due to an outing ahead of us. Unfortunately, we were told after we paid our fees. This course should not take 5 hours to play.

Good course and opportunities for improvement
Great course with a lot of up and downhill shots.
Improvemenr opportunities are:
1) greens need to be a lot faster
2) needs to have hole location system

A fair walk spoiled
I've played Hawk Eye many times, and it has been one of my favorites till now. But many of the greens were in poor condition, with bare spots and an enormous # of unrepaired divots and other damage. While this might be true late in the season, you wouldn't expect it at this point.
Also, the course has removed water coolers from throughout the course, and no cart service was seen on the back 9. Another player mentioned hearing something about coolers being contaminated last year, but this should have been fixed, or at least golfers notified.

We apologize you did not have a great time putting on the greens. We try very hard to keep the greens in top notch condition and we will work harder at trying to get all of the ball marks repaired.
We unfortunately do not have water coolers on the course like you said. We are very sorry you were not notified before your round or saw the beverage cart on the back 9. We will definitely make sure we are notifying all of our groups about no water on the course.

Very well maintained and scenic course. Greens can be tricky. Nice open landing spots for medium driver. Will play there again iif I get the chance

Great deal
Played Hawks Eye in 4 hours with a 8:50 tee time. The layout is great, tricky greens. The only criticism is that the course conditions are a little sparse. The grass is not growing as well as my lawn, and I'm not a greens keeper. The layout and pace of play more than made this a great deal.

Only beef was the slow play
Always enjoy Hawk's Eye when we make the drive from Leelanau. Took nearly 5 hours for 2 of us to complete 18 due to the pokiness of the parties ahead of us. Ranger should have been out there speeding things up a bit. Other than that I recommend HE highly.

Good Round
The course play a little easier because it was soft from any early rain and rain the day before. A real fun day. Players on the course we're corial and having fun as well.
