About
del Lago Golf Club sits at an elevation of 3,400 feet, enjoying a temperature that is five degrees cooler than Tucson in the summer, which makes a big difference under the hot Arizona sun. Winding through the hills and valleys of the high desert, the golf course features over 120 feet of elevation changes that present tricky uneven lies. The dramatic undulations also offer beautiful views of the Rincon and Santa Catalinas Mountain ranges. Golfers start at the highest point on the course and then play down into the valley before getting to the back nine, which plays along the Pantano Wash. The first hole is the only forced carry on the course, the remaining holes are friendlier off the tees. Seven lakes dot the golf course, coming into play on six holes, and there is also heavy bunkering around the greens.

Golfer Reviews
I hate to say it--but play someplace else
The tee boxes are great,, the greens are great. The fairways are non existant. They have very little water... they have had to make decisions to survive. The price reflects that. The staff is great and so is the place to eat. The good news? If your ball lands on the fairway,,, it's going to roll another 50 yards.
Fairways were basically dead grass and dirt
I’ve played this course multiple times and this is the absolute worst I’ve ever seen it. The greens and tee boxes were in great shape, but the fairways were dead grass and dirt. Apparently the course sold off some of its water rights and lost about half of their water last summer. They weren’t able to overseed or take care of the fairways so it all dies off. They did say they are prepared for this summer and things should improve, but for $60+ a round I expect better conditions. The only good thing about this corse right now are the greens, driving range, and tee boxes. I really like the course layout so it’s a shame that it got this bad.
Slow
Backed up at every hole. Almost 5 hours to play 18 second time in a row
Tough one
Course is in pretty good shape. Good greens. Pretty challenging for my level of play but got paired up with some guys that know the course and had a great time!
Needs maintenance
Greens were in excellent condition. Fairways and bunkers not so. Thin clumps of grass in fairways, traps little to no sand.
Not great not the worse
Fairways are terrible, greens are decent. Better places in Tucson to spend your money.
Great greens Fairways dry
Greens were best i played on this year. Found fairways did not have the lush grass that some other horses have layout is great up hill down hill lies with big bunkers around in different areas
Golf now no discount
You get no discount to play at this course. It use to have it but the course stated they had a lot of trouble with Golf Now so they stopped. Now you have to pay at the course also which doesn’t allow you to use any promo codes. Not happy with the changes.
Disappointing
I am writing to share my feedback regarding the current condition of the course. I have played at Del Lago for the past three years, but I have noticed a significant decline in maintenance over the last year.
While the design and layout remain the best in the area, the course currently feels neglected. Given the deteriorating conditions, I no longer feel the experience is worth the price of a visit. It is disappointing to see such a great layout suffer from a lack of upkeep.
Bunkers need work!
Maybe because of the recent rains, but bunkers were in disrepair with very rocky and course sand, at times unplayable.
Not worth the money
Skipped the last 2 holes, sat behind 4 groups ahead of us. After sitting in the cart for 10-15 min decided to call it a day.
Good Challenging Track! Amazing customer service!
Echoing others, the fairways are in rough shape, but the greens were immaculate and softer than most, which made for very satisfying approach shots. This course was very challenging but fun. The customer service here was some of the best I have ever experienced and it was so refreshing.
