About
del Lago Golf Club sits at an elevation of 3,400 feet, enjoying a temperature that is five degrees cooler than Tucson in the summer, which makes a big difference under the hot Arizona sun. Winding through the hills and valleys of the high desert, the golf course features over 120 feet of elevation changes that present tricky uneven lies. The dramatic undulations also offer beautiful views of the Rincon and Santa Catalinas Mountain ranges. Golfers start at the highest point on the course and then play down into the valley before getting to the back nine, which plays along the Pantano Wash. The first hole is the only forced carry on the course, the remaining holes are friendlier off the tees. Seven lakes dot the golf course, coming into play on six holes, and there is also heavy bunkering around the greens.

Great course- terrible bunkers
Worst bunkers in Tucson but the course was very nice otherwise.

10:00 tee time Friday morning was cold and wet but…the clouds cleared and the sun shined. Very challenging layout without be crazy long. I want another crack at it soon.

Good conditions, except bunkers
I thoroughly enjoyed Del Lago. The layout keeps you interested.. Pace of play was okay. The course was in great condition. The only issue I saw was the horrendous condition of the bunkers. There was almost no sand. Every bunker shot our group had was like hitting off of concrete with some loose dirt spread thinly on it. But it wouldn't stop me from playing again, just give me more incentive to stay away from the bunkers.

Very good course and somewhat underrated in the Tucson area.
Lots of different looks and a couple forced carries but fun course to play to test your accuracy

Excellent greens
This is a really nice course and will challenge even the most accomplished golfer. The greens were in great shape, fast and consistent. Only issue is the lack of sand in the bunkers, something they are trying to address.

Good layout
Tees, fairways, and greens were really good. Sand traps were the worst I've ever seen. No sand and filled with large rocks, they are unplayable. Cart paths were also very bad. Could be a great course, but not until they redo the traps. That's when they will see me again.

Really Enjoyed
Great day ... weather excellent and the course is in great shape. Greens really nice and fairways lush. Pace of play was good, we finished in under 3 and a half hours. Starter very pleasant.

Conditions and layout
Great conditions from tee box to green, layout is great for all types, and greens are unique and a nice challenge.

No wind. No rain. No snow. Blue sky. A couple light fluffy clouds. Birdie the #1 handicap hole for the first time ever.
Break 80 even with a double bogey on 18. Just livin' the dream. May it happen to you.
