Definitely one of my favorite courses
A must play. Great course with tall trees and a good amount of water. GPS included in golf cart. Fairways and greens always in good shape. Good mix of par 3’s, par 4’s and some long par 5’s.
All Day
Tom Fazzio course. A pleasure to play. Rolled across the road and dropped my green fee on a go at roulette. Won, cashed out. Got the heck out. Free day of golf!
Fairways; Greens; Layout; Tees; Carts
Overall this is a great course to play for any amateur level ;Tee placement; Fairways open; Layout nice; Greens rolled ( fast smooth greens yesterday). The course was a little wet in places: but with all the wet weather it had; it was in nice playable condition. Carts gps/other electronics was great also. I plan to play it again.
Nice and Convenient
Stayed at Golden Nugget and it was a very short drive over to this course. Nice course with some good holes, particularly #17 and 18. Not crowded during the day on a Thursday morning. What I enjoyed most though was the frozen little lemon scented refreshment towelettes on a hot and humid Louisiana summer morning! Why can’t all courses provide these?! Very nice touch.

My cousin recommended this so we went and had a blast. Course was great shape no complaints. Love the gps system

Lots of sand on greens, very uneven and bumpy. Cart girls were excellent

Golfers Paradise
Love this place, feels like I’m in a vacation paradise when I’m on this course.
Disappointed by Visit
A golf buddy of mine and myself drove about 2 hours to play here at the neighboring course of Golden Nugget over a Friday Saturday. We were extremely disappointed in this course. The staff was very friendly but the course was below average. The layout was just OK for a Fazio design but the course conditions were just a notch above terrible especially for a green fee over $100. There is no on site restaurant or bar except for the nearby casino. There is plenty of merch in the Pro shop.
Range was closed, Tees and fairways were full of weeds and the greens were slow and grainy with recent top dressing. Even with perfect conditions, I would not pay more than $60-70 dollars for peak green fee and even then, the design is lackluster enough, I would not want to play here again.
The casino itself, restaurants and amenities are very nice. They need to put more money in tho their golf course.
The let two people play out of one bag.Greens had sand on them.All of that I would go back

Cold Day in March!
Yep,
I had the day off and NEEDED to play golf!
Contraband Bayou’s Staff made it happen. It literally was the coldest day of the Year. Staff greeted me with a bright ‘’Hello Mr Martin” and a cup of hot coffee. Even though there was a chance of sleet, a charged, clean cart with a windshield, ice chest with water, tees and towels was made ready for me. The Onboard electronics were stunning and very easy to use.
At the turn, I was again welcomed with a smile and coffee. They even offered to recharge my phone!
Well, my score was unbelievable! ( because who would even believe that I played in such conditions) the Course was immaculate and the Experience was exactly what I needed to warm my heart on a stupidly cold 37degree afternoon.
