Nice course when Golf now has a Great deal
Course is Fair for the Advat Golfer. Tee to Green good shape. I try and play it when i'm i town and a good deal is found.
Almost not worth the Hot Deal
Course layout is awesome.
Course condition was horrible. Every part needed mowing. Greens were bad, some with so many pock marks they were worse than the acne I had as a teenager.
Got a “Hot Deal” of $43 and it was almost not worth that. No amenities whatsoever.
Very disappointed. Won’t play again.

Fairways and greens are in good shape. Tee boxes are mostly dead with patchy weeds everywhere. Bunkers are great. Bar and grill aren’t ever open, so eat before you show up.
Fun course in great condition
This place is awesome! Fairways and greens are fantastic will definitely play here again when i’m back in Lake Charles. If you do plan on playing here bring some bug spray them dang skeeters are super bad
Great Course; Mosquito City
Contraband Bayou is one of my favorite courses to play in Lake Charles. The course is always in great condition, but bring your mosquito spray; otherwise, you will be miserable. If they can control their mosquito problem, I’d play there more often.
Course is mosquito friendly
Nice layout but be careful waking up mosquito’s when you get close to the rough or in sand traps, carts should be equipped with Off spray
Course is in great shape for this time of year
Greens were in good shape and running pretty fast overall. No complaints for tee boxes and fairways either. Overall good round of golf!
One of the best in Louisiana
This a great resort style course. You can have your best round ever or your worst round at any time.
Contraband is a great Tom Fazio course.
I love this course from the layout to the scenic views. Some of the tee boxes were under repair and 3 of the 18 greens were not in the best shape. Other than that, the course was in excellent shape and I throughly enjoyed our round.
Very nice and fun
I really enjoyed this course. It was a good challenge but not too difficult. It's a short walk from Lauburge. The staff was very nice and accomodating.

The course looks like it been run down but they are working on bringing it back to life . No drinking water on the course fairways were good greens were really slow.
