The greens roll true although slow ..about 7 on stemp meter. Course is a 7 out of 10 since opening. Fairways are cut tight. Course is obviously being worked on but MUCH better.. should be awesome after overseediing which is in October.

Fourth time playing the course since May. Course conditions have improved every time I’ve played. Excellent staff. Very friendly and helpful in pro shop. Starters have been excellent. During the summer Marshals bring around complimentary ice cold water and cold towels. Fairways have filled in and greens rolling quick and true. There is work still to be done to bring the course all the way back but it is in very playable condition. I have a feeling after over seeding is complete this will be a difficult tee time to obtain. Give the course a try, you will be glad you did.

First time out, played with a good friend and two owner/members. This community came together to rescue the course after previous ownership sucked the life and resources out of MR. Excellent staff engagement from pro shop to outside service, very friendly starter Marshall who brought us cold towels on the back 9. This course is a lot of fun, playable for everyone, really nice layout. The maintenance was in the rears for so long, they are currently doing a wonderful job to bring it back. I can’t wait to play again especially knowing it will only get better going into the fall. Please give this course a try if you appreciate good golf and good service.

Recently reopened, improving every day. Front and back nines reversed. Bar restaurant not open yet. Also no hot deals available as yet. Decent value for the money.

This Greg Nash-designed course had been mismanaged for several years. In January 2021, a group of Mission Royale homeowners formed a non-profit association and purchased the property. They retained Elite Golf Management to restore, operate, and maintain the course. In less than 6 months they have turned it from a dust bowl to a green gem (see attached photo). Readers should disregard all reviews posted prior to 2021 as they only reflect the condition of the course pre-restoration.

The course is currently in operation after opening in July. Full restoration and reopening is planned in November following overseeding. The restaurant is scheduled for opening in November also.

This course has improved dramatically. The playing conditions have gone from the worst to the best in the surrounding area. I can't imagine how much more wonderful this course will be after the upcoming overseeding. I hope to get many more rounds in before everyone else finds out about the jewel.

New owners. Opened July 4. Fantastic shape. Looks like they just over seeded. They cut and roll the greens every day. Best shape of any course around. Unbelievable for August in Arizona.

Looked at the photos and booked a foursome, paid greens fees online. Arrived at the course and the staff was fantastic, but they told us the course was closing for the season. No grass in the fairway and spray painted greens. The course conditions were a joke. Do not waste your money.

I live in Casa Grande and have sadly seen this course steadily go downhill. The course has been neglected for several years because of poor ownership, and is either going to auction or is being/has been sold. But whatever is going on, it is not being maintained. I called a friend who lives on the course a couple weeks ago about the conditions and he said they were "poor" but you could score a cheap round. Didn't have anything going today and saw a $20 Hot Deal, so called a friend and thought "How bad can it be"? Well, pretty bad. It appears they simply left the Bermuda to die off and cut it short. No re-seeding. Actually appears no watering at all. Lots of bare patches in the fairways. Bunkers are hard packed. They tried to spruce things up by dying the the fairways and greens "green", but that has mostly faded off. If they don't do something soon, they are going to totally lose the greens; they were putt-able, but resembled the fairways. This is actually a pretty fun track and it is sad to see it in such disrepair. You have to feel for the residents who paid a premium to live on the course. We joked that it's now a 'desert view'. Until ownership clears up, or they decide to make a serious commitment, or whatever the issues are, don't waste your time.

The course is undergoing some big management/owner changes. It has not been watered or overseeded. Stay tuned!

This course is apparently going through some tough times. There is very little grass on the fairways, the tee boxes are in bad shape as well. The greens are very sparse. There seems to be very little maintenance going on. The hitting area on the driving range has some grass, unmowed but the range itself is all dirt. The range balls are pretty old and don't get washed. The putting green is terrible. I don't think they have done any over seeding. Other courses in the area are green, the grass that there is is mostly dormant. They seem to have discounted the fees to reflect the conditions. Friday morning there were not many people playing......

They turned the water off and let the course dry completely up, even the greens. We were playing on dry dirt. Apparently there are staff issues and money issues that have caused this problem in the past few weeks. We were unaware and had a 1:00 pm tee time so we couldn’t leave and go somewhere else. Instead of brown spots, the whole course was one giant brown spot.

Would not recommend to my worst enemy, course fairways were so bad even a club length could not find grass
